Focus: Moving Waves. A class album. I can just about remember back in the seventies, when I was in a small record shop in London's Dean Street & this was being played, I asked what it was & bought it there & then. It's been a couple of decades since I listened to all of side two "Eruption", it's brilliant.

It's quite challenging, but ultimately rewarding.

I was driving today & turned on the radio, BBC Radio 2, & there was a track playing that sounded quite nice. I thought it might be Santana by the sound of the guitar, & I was right, Smooth, apparently a big hit, but I don't remember it. Anyway, I've ordered a Santana compilation CD containing that track (I've never owned a Santana record), only £3.50 delivered (s/h). I do that a lot, hear a track & buy the CD, if you don't mind s/h it only costs a few pounds.

SILVER APPLES ~ Silver Apples (1968)

Yes, that's nineteen sixty-eight. The phrase "ahead of their time" if often abused, but wow...soplando mi mente.

Carpenter must've been a fan.

Surprised you've never heard Smooth before, it was a huge hit on release and seemed to be never off the radio. It's mentioned in the Clive Davis documentary I watched on Nextflix recently, in that Davis signed Santana after seeing him live one night and out of the blue managed to get him a big hit after so many years. Worth a watch that documentary.

Yeah, that's what my brother-in-law said (I was on my way to them when I heard it on the radio). Too much film/classical music & Radio Four, I've probably missed a ton of other good stuff.
