My "Gaybusters" thread.

Wow, I'd forgotten completely about this thread. Thanks for reminding me of it and of what you're really like. I guess I'd have to say then that some of my favorite FSM posts were from the people pushing back against your gaybaiting and the fellow travelers who tried to make it seem OK. Joan, as always, was a standout, even in the face of some unpleasant assaults.

Here it is so others can see for themselves: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=52178&forumID=7&archive=0

That thread predated my membership here, so I'm happy to say that I never saw it in the original chronology.
It was a disgrace, and to look back on it with anything resembling fondness or pride is quite telling.

'Preston Neal Jones' self-given "less life left to live" nickname in the "Why Don't They Drink the Beer in Commercials?" thread.'

Jim, you honor me, but I'm afraid I can't remember my nickname or anything else I may have said on that topic. Can you please refresh me?

Yes: Manderley. For knowledge and erudition, he's the master of us all. Ray Faiola runs a close second. Ditto John Fitzpatrick.

"Ok, hands on buzzers, who can tell me the diference between a post, and a thread?
Take your time...this lovely lounge suite could be yours..."

Damn you Carson... Of all the threads in all the posts in the world, you had to turn up in this one.

Essankay, reading that topic again brought back some memories. I believe that shortly after that topic such discussions were no longer allowed which probably helped my blood pressure. wink

Bill what do you mean by "start" stalking me? You already are! However, I must admit that you are a much beloved stalker. (There, that is the last nice thing I'll say to you until next year.smile)

Here you go, PNJ:

A long time ago, when I was still in school, I was watching a local broadcast of "The Late, Late Show" in what they called "the greater Metropolitan area" in and around Manhattan.

-- Preston (Less-Life-Left-to-Live) Jones

I always thought you were British, Preston. Must be your easy charm and sophisticated wit.

Like that snazzy old nickname, too! wink

Better be careful. As you see from that thread she can come out swinging!

OTT was a source of so many great posts that it's impossible to give credit to them all.

RIP OTT. frown

What amazes me now is that it was never locked. Anyway, I'm still impressed at how you grabbed the bull by the horns there.

Joan, Wonder Woman! cool

Graham Watt's post in the World Cup 2018 Russia thread this morning. Either he was typing it on his phone using predictive text or he was using a very poor translator program. Gigant penile mussels?! Interesant foreskin?!

Dragon 53 & Bob Dimucci, do a great deal for this board there my favourite posters.

Individual posts would be about Zimmer, peoples dislikes, notably, Dunkirk, 2049.

You are correct, Solium. Diplomacy skills were kind of eradicated that day.

I still need to come up with my favorite post instead of thread. "Working on it, boss."
