New York City -- 8 degrees with a lot of wind. Cold! Hoping to relax tonight with hot chocolate and some new blu ray acquisitions. My apartment is warm, thank goodness, as is my work office. Really strange weather here this week -- yesterday we went from 55 degrees to 4 overnight in the space of 24 hours.
Two nights in a row below freezing in Houston. That's a rarity. It's a good thing because a hard freeze kills a lot of the bugs making the following spring and summer nicer.
The blue skies and shirt-sleeve weather has changed and we now have lots of overcast and about 54 degrees -- about as close as we come to winter in Los Angeles!
Crushingly cold. I am not enjoying Michigan at all at the moment.
It has been. Plus I haven't had any mail delivered now in four days. Guess the mailman's pledge doesn't mean what it used to. I can't ever remember that happening before.
SNOW in Portland, Oregon... 1st real snow of this winter. Beautiful to see, extremely difficult for those who need to drive. Luckily, I live 2 mins away from work!
Clear, high today minus 5- low tonight minus 20- wind chills minus 40 to 45.Looking out the window looking to see if any penguins are coming[ha-ha-ha] Yeah the winter AMERICA has become the artic.

The weather is killing my business......
Dear Al Gore please send some global warming this way.

It would seem the warming has struck these shores. We've seen no snow in the SE UK this year so far. Today has even been a little pleasant, with patches of blue sky and sun. The (incessant) rain will be back later tonight, so we are told. The news item mentions the jet stream, which has a normal speed of about 200mph, is moving at more like 300mph and in the process, is driving one depression after another in this/my/our direction.
We got a good five inches of snow in Gaithersburg, Md. I keep a cot, change of clothing and toothbrush at my workplace so I camped out last night so I wouldn't have to deal with the weather coming to work this morning. I'm all alone today! Kinda fun, actually.
It's been a hot winter so far here in Belgium; only a handful of days when it froze during the night but didn't last throughout the day. Lots of wind and rain, but no extreme colds. I'm not complaining, just feel out of my weather element for the time being.
