I had a Pimms for the first time, with ginger ale, lemon juice, cucumber and ice. It was tremendous. Could neck them by the pint very easily.

I went to this tap room last night, and tried a couple of their IPAs. Pretty good beer, and reasonably priced for a micro-brewery. It is far enough away that I don't see myself going there very often, but glad to have tried it.

Sounds great. I love Pimms. Winter Cup is nice too.

Having a pint of "Ye Olde Carlsberg" along with some salsa and chips as I watch the day's footie highlights.

Yes, I always burn the candle at both ends like this.

Still hung over, two days later. I apparently made out with two different girls at the tailend of the evening, but have no memory of it. Nor how I got home.

Let's hope they remember something, at least...

...and here I was about to regale everyone with the tale of my Irish breakfast chased down with four Bloody Marys yesterday.

That's such shit news, man! If you can't remember it, it might as well not have happened. Haven't you even got any stains or anything?

Aargh! Spambots have now attacked our beloved "Cheers" thread as well.

Since Labor Day weekend was spoiled by the threat of Hurricane Dorian, this weekend I'll have some Indian food along with x number of Ye Olde Carlsberg to go with it.

You and your Carlsbergs, Jim! smile

I'm going out tonight. I'm invited to the 40th birthday of one of Norway's foremost concert pianists -- including a mini concert. The 'closing time' is set to 01:00, but I hope there's mood for prolonging it a bit more. That's WAY too early.

Had a small bottle of red wine (rare for me!), followed by two strong beers. One Ringnes and one Stockholm Strong (7.2). Ready to go in 15 minutes!

7.2%?! Did it taste like tar? Reminds me of that Carlsberg Special Brew. I'd not recommend that to you Jim!

I'm heading to the local for a few pints tonight which isn't very exciting. Probably watch that Germany v Netherlands match on TV.

A Stockholm Strong? Is that the beer where you fall in love with your drinking partner, even if they are treating you really badly and lock you in the boot of their car? wink

I mistakenly bought some Ukrainian "lager", which was iirc 7.5 and it had that butane malt liquor afterburn I dislike.

I'm strictly a lightweight, so 5 is just fine for me.

Speaking of Carlsberg, it's difficult to find here, except for at the warehouse-sized booze retailer.

I ended up having Cuban food. You see how I burn the candle at both ends?
