I'm only counting the original series eps. Yeah, A CASE OF IMMUNITY wasn't great but THE CONSPIRATORS is one of the best. As for the revival, only three get repeat viewings The Shatner one The Mghooan one ( AGENDA FOR MURDER) THE Hugh Hefner one

You didn't like Revills Irish accent?! I think you mean Ian BUCHANAN I loved that one. Very original in conception! The ones I rewatch feature great " cat and mouse" scenes between Lt. And the.killer. The ones with Culp, Cassidy, MCGOOHAN have particularly good ' verbal chess matches'. I always remember the plots, unfit to.

I just watched Endeavour series 6 on DVD and was disappointed to the point of teeth-gnashing that several scenes are missing, including the initial set-up of Bright as "The Pelican Man" and Morse's "Doctor Zhivago" crack at welfare worker Joan. I guess I understand why PBS cuts scenes for the broadcast, but why carry over the edits onto the DVDs?? Are you referring to the commercial Bright made with a pelican. It's in the version I'm viewing. Cut or not, a.6 is dreadful. All the flaws and none of the good things from previous seasons.

2 episodes in and Peaky blinders is as good as ever. Two small things jarred with me - a soundtrack of songs is ok but there was a punk song when tommy walked through parliament. Just didnt seem right. Also its set in 1929 and at one point Polly describes baby as having hair as gold as an oscar. 1929 was the first year such official awards were given out by d fairbanks at a hotel and it was some years before the employee described it as looking her uncle oscar so no way in england in 1929 would the name oscar be known like that. Licence yes, but lazy research.

Below the surface Danish hostage thriller 8 parts shown on bbc4. Decent enough, despite the constant rather annoying flahbacks. Essentially its 4 terrorists hijack ferry and hold hostages but there is some skullduggery "below the surface" involving russians and danish soldiers murdered in syria. I detest nearly all forms of hostage/kidnapping films - they are all slow, tedious and drag. This, however, was just about watchable. 7.7 out of 10

2 episodes in and Peaky blinders is as good as ever. Yes, the Oscar comment jarred, but the rest of it was faultless as far as this viewer was concerned. Only seen ep 1 so far but already cooking with gas! With all the bad stuff about this show Brits nitpick about OSCAR?! The British Nitwits

Woodstock- 3 days that defined a generation, the documentary by directors Barak Goodman and Jamila Ephron. "they were expecting 150,000 attendees maximum but in july 1969 half a million people from all walks of life converged on a small dairy farm in upstate New York. They came to hear the concert of their lives, but most experienced something far more profound: a moment that came to define a cultural revolution." I saw it last night, I thought it was a lovely documentary, just made up of 8mm footage that some people shot (& quite a lot of it), plus a bit of b/w video, with comments from the people who shot it, & at the end it told you what happened to those people, which was a nice touch. I know I would have hated it, all those people, rain (& not many tents to be seen) lack of food, & it seemed like a bit of music & a lot of hanging around. I don't even like live music (I have no soul).

Instinct We have watched the last two seasons if Instinct on CBS. I call this Light-Fare watching. Nothing profound here. I like Alan Cumming in all of his sartorial splendor. He is an ex-CIA member who now teaches abnormal behavior at a university. He teams up with a lady detective in Manhattan to solve murders and to profile suspects. It is nice to just “veg out” during this series. Years And Years on HBO Now this is a rather heavy series. The six episodes take place between 2019 and 2029, and viewers must tolerate A LOT of political satire. It definitely satirizes our current American government. This series also takes scathing satirical shots at the post-Brexit English government. This series can be offensive to people depending upon their political perspectives. Viewers see the impact of international and governmental changes on what is described as a “typical” British family. Several times we almost quite the series, but it would end with some tragedy that always made us return. We didn’t warm up to the family for at least three episodes, and we could only understand the dialogue from about half of the family. Certain accents evaded us. Eventually, we started to care about this rather quirky family. The series also takes on other topics like climate control and most obviously, immigration issues. Murray Gold was the composer. At times, I hated the music, but at other times, his music was gorgeous. Have to say that I love Emma Thompson even though she played a reprehensible character. The acting was great, and the satire was caustic. The future was pretty scary.
