Can i just point out that the spirit of this thread was earworms that you couldnt get out of your head on the relevant day.

As opposed to "here is a song i like."

Of course none of you would lie about that and make it up, would you?

The thread's "mission statement", repeated for the benefit for all newcomers:

Every day, a song that is either stuck in your mind, one you love or hate, or perhaps even the song you heard most recently.

All I ask is that choices are limited to one song each day. smile

The Delfonics- "Trying to Make a Fool of Me"

I especially love that opening riff, though the whole damned song is magnificent, and it's whirling around in my mind nonstop today.

The Stylistics- "Stop, Look, Listen (To Your Heart)"

For me, a GREAT song to have running through one's mind all day. Love it.

Today i am mostly humming...

"...Where have you gone...you bright-eyed gentle dreamer..?
...Where is the man...you thought you knew so well...?
...when did you change...in to a fearsome sold-ier...?

Chris Isaak- "San Francisco Days"

Haven't heard the song since about 1998, but it has played on and off in my mind since that time. Hearing it again now reinforces its ear worm status for the next twenty years.

"San Francisco Days" is the Chris Isaak song about him being heartbroken and sad about having lost his woman. Thankfully, he only wrote this one song about that subject. wink

Great pair for a sultry, sunny, Summer day! From "But Seriously, Folks" (1978), Joe Walsh with "Inner Tube/Theme From Boat Weirdos" - because these two songs are inseparable.

A song I heard first thing this morning when I put the radio on and it's been stuck in my head all day. If I have to suffer, then so should you lot...

Tab Hunter was a pretty good singer. I like this.

But today I'm thinking of this version of "Once in a While" that doesn't spend too much time playing the actual tune, but is still awesome.

Tina Louise of Gilligan's Island sings: Sounds like she was prepped for Gilligan's Island long before being offered the role of Ginger.

Got up thismorning humming Sinatra.
Not a well known one...

"The tables are emp-ty...
The dancefloor's desert-ed...
You play the same love song..
It's the tenth time you've heard it..
You walk that floor..and wear out your shoes
But you're on the right track for....dum de de dum..."

? wink
