Stuff on my curb. Ragged old sofas, dirty bed mattresses, and old cathode ray tube TV's.

I have seen stuff like that going into some of the houses I post to!

Lots of stuff is getting tossed to the curb now. That's because thrift stores are refusing donations.

A first: classical cd's. One was a Korngold where he used a film theme to two.

Found the 4-dvd set of all the INDIANA JONES movies. Not sure I'll keep it after I watch them.

Watched the ones I haven't seen, then got 10 clams in trade. Sweet.

I found this little gizmo still in its original box, unused. It looks like it's most everything a phone is, except a phone.

It wouldn't connect to my computer, though: no driver.

What do I do now? I tried connecting it while on the interwebs, but no soap.

I should start a thread, "All The Free Stuff I Get At An ALF". Residents move out, others move on. Family members leave stuff behind. Ive gotten probably thousands of dollars worth of furniture and wall decorations.

No driver online! Gotta put it back out by the curb.

It's pretty common for people to leave things by the curb for others to take away for free, especially after a yard sale. (That's how I found my copy of Williams' DRACULA on cd.)

Hah! I'm one of *those* guys. I always pick stuff up from the sidewalk for resale. My wife really hates this, BTW. big grin

Since everyone's been hounding me to tell smile , here's what I see by the curb most often:

1) three-ring binders
2) clothes hangers
3) coffee makers
4) all-in-one printers

Recently:

A bush had several little gift bags hanging on it. On the bags was written "Free!"

What was inside?

Something I'll never use....
