From fubar, arnie's comedy spy netflix series.

Roo, a CIA operative arrives at co-worker's flat, Barry (Bartholomew) Putt. He's a CIA computer nerd and the flat is filled with Star Wars figures and superhero toys and transformers.

Barry Putt the Nerd "i will be just a minute"

Roo comes thru door, does mock recoil at full-size superhero figure in lounge. "Whoa! Wow! Dude" She continues in a mock newsreader voice "...Bartholomew Putt died today of terminal celibacy. He is survived by millions of toys ...and zero girlfriends"

Barry "Theyre action figures"

Roo "No, theyre vagina repellent. The only person that would be turned on by all this...is Santa!"

Lair of the White Worm - 1988. Now considered a comedy horror, not sure it was meant to be.

Hugh Grant as lord of the manor to his butler, the great Stratford Johns:

“Put your bicycle clips on, Peters, I’m expecting company”

Great dialogue for me translates as "How can I use this on someone".

I Walk Alone (1947) has some priceless bits provided by Burt Lancaster who plays Frankie Madison, who has just been released from prison. Straight from IMDB: Frankie Madison (thinking that Dave, played by Wendell Corey, is trying to take advantage of him) : "Stop tryin' to dizzy me up!".

Screenwriters Charles Schnee, Robert Smith & John Bright seemed to give all the great lines to Lancaster.

So, how can I use that Dizzy Me Up line on anyone and not have to explain it? But it would sound great, regardless.

  • Who else on this forum can recite, off the top of their head, large chunks of dialogue from Mommie Dearest, even after 40 years?
  • I can do that with Star Trek V, Superman II, and Buckaroo Banzai.

  • Even I have other things to do! smile

    .... debatable.

Hunt Stevenson: Fellas... is a frog's ass watertight?
Oishi Kazihiro: [discusses this with his colleagues in Japanese] Yes. We believe it is.
