31°C/88°F, sunny, no clouds, no wind... it's summer, it's hot, it's ice-cream time. If I posted the same thing just a few posts up, is because the weather since then has not changed. It's like that every day for the last I don't know how many days. I like it, it's summer, but the farmers etc. could use some rain in between. We had a small forest fire two days ago less than a mile from where I live, which was contained by half a dozen firetrucks. Very unusual for the area (in fact, a first as far as I know).

Wow, that was a really hot night! I think it was hotter than it was a couple of weeks ago. But I really can't complain when I see all those huge fires in mainland Europe, & I suppose that America is suffering, but we don't hear too much about that over here. I think it could be the last really hot weekend in London, 35 (it was reported as 38, but happily that's been downgraded), so I might was well enjoy it, I'm going to Portobello Road Market (wearing my best shorts), it'll be packed, downright heaving.
