I don't know. Too early to tell. As always, one gets notice a day in advance.

OK, Thor. We will all wait around, glued to our monitors, in hopes of being worthy of your presence this Friday. big grin

Alas, no. Barbecueing in the garden with some friends tonight! It's tropical heat in Oslo at the moment. But I'm thinking of maybe next Friday or Saturday; perhaps a combo with Maintitles.net like we had the last time.

For the record, Zoom has started putting time limits on Zoom meetings during the weekend (no doubt due to its popularity in these corona times....cynical bastards!). 45 minutes, and then everyone is logged off and have to log in again for another 45-minutes session, and so on. A bit of a hassle, but there you go.

Ooohhh...a pity it wasn't Svein Gundersen and Kjetil Bjerkestrand...

Kjetil, I know. But Svein, I don't think I've met ever. Will have to remedy that.

My Scottish potato skin can't really take the midday sun so admired by mad dogs and Englishmen, but I do enjoy sitting out on my little balcony at about 8pm, when the sun's rays are milder, and the heat comfortable. Having said that, we're not up to 16 degrees yet, and it's already two o'clock.

The point of this is that I love sitting in the evening sun, drinking beer. Drinking beer. Love it.

I'd trade your 16 C for our 31 C in a second, Graham. But yes, a chilled beer tends to solve most problems.

Well it's raining here (quelle surprise) so you don't know how lucky you both are!

I enjoyed the chat that first time I joined in, so I'll look forward to next Friday all being well!

No, no, no. You will NEVER see me complain about a warm Norwegian summer. It's so short here up north.

Six months of darkness and cold, on the other hand...

A film-music interview with Svein is long overdue. Let's try to conduct it before it's too late. You never know how long people are here. He is 71 now.

Easy for you to say. You're in the breezy south, with comfortable temperatures.

Last night, I was blasting old-skool Latin jazz and drinking rum cocktails. Nothing beats it.

Intentional or not, that is HILARIOUS.

There will be a "Cheers!" Zoom on the upcoming Friday, June 26th, at 21:00 (9 PM), Oslo time. Use a time zone converter to find your local time currency.

Link will be posted Friday.

Zoom has begun with 45-minute sessions during weekends, but when time runs out, we'll just log back in. Minor hassle.

Great! Thanks Thor. I'm gonna start celebrating now! We've got your 33 degrees C here all of a sudden. Cold beer, balcony...

Cold beer, balcony...

That's exactly the case here too. 30-ish degrees, beer and Chili Con Carne on the balcony soon.

Damn. I really want to be part of one of these but this is one of those times living in the arse end of the world sucks. 9pm your time (a great time to be drinking) vs 4.30am my time (not such a great time to be drinking).

One day I'll get some match fitness for a 4.30 am drink.

Enjoy yourselves and have one (or 5) for me.

Thor, are you combining this "session" with the maintitles.net group? Whatever, I missed the first hour or so of the last one because the bars have been open now for a few weeks, and I do like to pop in about 9. Not like the old days though, so I don't hang around long.

Still, what I'm saying is that, if I'm late, don't close up shop without me, and don't talk about anything of interest until I arrive.

This is not a Zoom thread, it's a Cheers thread. I don't know what I'll be drinking tonight... Maybe a not-too-strong red wine, perhaps a nice Mencia... I have to attend my niece's First Communion tomorrow and it'll be preferable if I'm not suffering from a hangover - I don't want to go on a religious brainwashing rant and spoil the poor kid's (in fact everyone's) day.
