The FA Cup Final was an interesting game, but not a memorable one. And I thought that managers of both teams were supposed to be suited and booted for an occasion like this - "great" manager Pep comes out wearing a hoodie, FFS! City were just that much stronger; they had better players. Took a dislike to Grealish for his petulance and attitude. Mind you, the Man U player Fred got away with some shocking tackles...

Thanks. I think a fiorentina win is on the cards, unless hammers play the game of their lives.

Some of those names really are mental. Mark Hughes? Eriksson? Redknapp? What year is it, 2006? It's obviously going to be Ange, been pretty clear for the past week or so.

I'd have gone for someone with a good track record in a better league (sorry James M).

35 year old Karim Benzema and 32 year old Eden Hazard are leaving Real Madrid this summer.

That almost sounds like someone doesn't know anything about football beyond the English Premier League. Ange managed the Australian national team at a world cup, managed in Japan in a league which is just below the standard of the top 5 Euro Leagues to great success and has transformed Celtic in 2 seasons. He will also be great fun to watch with the English media as he doesn't suffer stupid journalists asking stupid questions, like he hasn't in Scotland.

Also, Spurs recruiting managers from better leagues hasn't exactly worked for them at all.

Sam Allardyce has left Leeds, no surprise there really, I think he was only there to try to keep them up.

So the big day is upon us. Was kinda excited initially but this is the trouble with finals, all that hype n expectation and then they dont show up or play badly and you feel super pissed off.

Difficult with hammers because we are the most schizophrenic team in football history and you never know which one turns up - fired up, confident, playing flowing football, like we can, or the edgy passive error-prone shambles.

On our day, with defence on their game, i think we could rip fiorentina apart and show gulf in class. But equally, one or two shaky moments, confidence brittle, and we panic n could get done. Especially against italian teams, you dont wanna go a goal down. If they score in first minute, they can all smother a match for 89minutes.

So my money is going on Fiorentina. Some consolation if lose, happy to lose my money if we win.

Yep. 68 years since won
57 years since been in one n lost 1976.
Not sure if intertoto final counts, we won that as entry for (uefa cup) europa but got knocked out the next season.

38 minutes gone, little action either end but ref giving them nearly everything.

Like its not hard enough just playing the oppo.

Fiorentina players holding faces n collapsing even when just tripped.

The Benrahma dive was pretty embarrassing though. Poor so far, Hammers keep giving the ball away. Areola got away with that at the end.
