I never bet against Indiana Jones because even the worst of his movies make a metric ton of money. Will this one? I don't care, I just hope it's fun. I love the character but I'm just a little "meh" because other than Ford and Williams, none of the key players in the character's success are involved. I enjoy all of the films in one way or another and I go to the cinema for fun and diversion from the utter BS of real life, so I'm looking forward to the summer movie season. I've never once been insulted by a film because I don't take movies all that seriously.

On this one I have more faith in the woke Disney than Indy fans. Disney is just following the market. An 80 year old playing a character half the age. Another LOL one I've seen lately is a few are not going to see Indy 5 because Disney is too woke. So if Disney wasn't woke I assume they'd go see Indy?? I think fans have hit bottom. Some just go see it, but don't try and rationalize it. You never will with an 80 year old. The outrage and offense machine has gotten utterly ludicrous, we would all be better if all the social media sites would be wiped out today. This film looks just fine, FAR BETTER than Crystal Skull. Yeah, Ford is old, playing an action hero. Hollywood has been doing this stuff for decades. Get over it. I am so so sick of the whole woke and anti-woke thing, can it just be over now? And, by the way, the slang origins of woke meant, educated and informed, and, hence, it was not at all a bad thing.

We'd all be so lucky to be living such a life at 80. On the other side of the board people compliment John Williams for being 90 and lay out their hopes and dreams in the chances he will continue to score every movie forever. Over here, Ford is 80 and he should be dead by now by all accounts. That's my personal "lol." I should be lucky to have the life Ford has so embrace Indy at 80? Just seems like I should go watch his Yellowstone-ish show. Money is a great comforter.

Lets embrace roles Ford can do that are realistic. You do realize this is Indiana Jones being discussed? I love Indiana Jones films as much as anyone, but realistic is not a way I would describe any of those films. If you want a more grounded performance from Ford, consider checking out Shrinking on AppleTV.

Indy and his two companions bail out of a plane in an inflatable life raft...and survive (this gives the refrigerator scene two movies later permission to exist). Pretty much the resolution of every film need to be taken with a grain of salt. (God, magic stones, God some more, aliens...) Honestly, his age is the least far fetched aspect of this series.
