US actor Frank Converse is 86. He made his film debut in Hurry Sundown (1967) and followed it with Hour Of The Gun (1967, playing Virgil Earp). He also appeared as a regular in short-lived TV series Coronet Blue (1968), followed by another series, NYPD (1968), Columbo (1973), yet another series, Movin' On (1974), and Solarbabies (1986).

The last few months I'd been making sure that some legends from auto racing were finally added to the list like A.J. Foyt, Richard Petty etc. One name I was sadly remiss in adding to that list of racing legends has just passed away at age 90, Parnelli Jones, the 1963 Indianapolis 500 winner and the first man to break the 150 MPH barrier at the Speedway.
US actress Joan O'Brien is 88. She made her film debut in Handle with Care (1958) co-starring with Dean Jones, followed by Operation Petticoat (1959) co-starring with Cary Grant and Tony Curtis; The Alamo (1960) with John Wayne and Richard Widmark; The Comancheros (1961) again with John Wayne; It Happened at the World's Fair (1963) with Elvis Presley; and many TV credits, including The Man From UNCLE, until she stopped acting in 1965, aged 29, and started singing instead.

He went through a tragedy of epic proportions a few years ago. His son stabbed his wife to death and his son was then shot to death by responding police.
Sad passing of another neglected name from the list. William Anders, the Lunar Module pilot of Apollo 8, the first flight to orbit the moon, died at age 90. Not from natural causes but he crashed a plane he was flying.
French actress Brigitte Auber is 99. Her film career began in the 1940s in French cinema, appearing in Rendezvous In July (1949), and Under The Paris Sky (1951), before making her most famous appearance in Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch A Thief (1955) as jewel thief Danielle Foussard. She later appeared with Leonardo Di Caprio in The Man in the Iron Mask (1998).

US actress Peggy Webber is 98. One of her earliest film appearances was as Lady Macduff in Orson Welles' 1948 film adaptation of Macbeth (in which he played the title role). She later appeared with William Holden in Submarine Command (1951), and then Alfred Hitchcock's The Wrong Man, with Henry Fonda and Vera Miles (1956), The Space Children (1958), and The Screaming Skull (1958).
