That's only if you accept the mission.

So, how was the get-together? Any hangovers today?

Chance would be a fine thing!!!
It takes half an hour to choose what to drink in those arty/farty craft beer pubs eek
Not much to my liking when you do finally choose some glorified 'home brew'
But yeah, great day otherwise.
Lovely to see TG again.
And meeting Xeb-Ob was ace.
Gettin' a bit sick of seeing Roy, Les & Jim now though. I see them more than the missus big grin
I jest, always a treat to meet up and chat bubbles with like minded OST-ies.
Long may they continue.

Craft beer pubs are my scene! Love it. I went to one in Berlin(?) with Big Jim a couple of years ago. Drinking the same ol' ale-on-tap over and over can get rather boring.

Thanks for the brief report. Sounds like a blast.

Dan Hobgood? The lone American FSMer who could claim to have an "ancestral home."

Some memorable (in the best sense) threads involving that one when we were into figuring it all out.

Your post reads like spam, Howard.

How about jackfu? He was hilarious. Probably dead now. frown

Btw, this is the only topic of his own I can recall Josh ever maintaining or otherwise giving a shit about.

The boy really has grown up.

So, t'other week, I met up with the lads in Manchester and had a great time. It had been about 18 years since i'd first met TallGuy and I had never met the others. It was very nice to put faces to names, and hear about name changes. also to see BillCarson over the phone.

I owe Big Jim a drink, as at the final pub it was card only and i only had cash (I'll have to remember that for next time).

Everyone had a great sense of humour, i laughed loads, and it was really easy to fall into the group and chat with everyone like i'd met them dozens of times before. We chatted about anything and everything, as far as I recall.

Randomly, it turns out a relative of mine had taught one of Roy's relatives.

It was excellent to hear the enthusiasm for film music and see how knowledgable people were. My own interest has dropped right off in the last five or so years, but meeting everyone inspired me to listen a bit more film music since then.

I was sad I had to bob off for my bus (and also ended up lying to Jim saying I never run for a bus, then gently jogging about 10 yards for a bus).

I hope to enjoy another meet up next year. If you get the chance yourself, do it.
(Warlok, i should say hello sometime this year).

This event both more and less expanded upon in the “Hands across the Pennines” thread (in the other side).

To recap, Xebec is a top bloke.

Xeb, I'm sorry I didn't look like Charlton Heston in MOTHER LODE.

But, well...you didn't look like Nick Frost in SHAUN OF THE DEAD, so we're quits smile

I know some members and LeHah didn't get along, but I miss his posts and wish he'd return.

Careful what you wish for, Joan.

I haven't logged on here in ages but someone on FB let me know that my username was brought up. Yes, I am still around. Life has improved considerably the last few years by not being surrounded by the inmates of this asylum. I hope some of you are well and the rest of you boils and scabs and credits at the end of JJ Abrams films. Adieu!

What a wonderful validation of Joan's courtesy.
Absolutely first rate use of bandwidth.

Joanie I love you but this is equivalent of saying Candyman 3 times. And the bloody demon came thru the portal!!
Please God don't utter that name again!

The reality is here at FSM is that as individuals we get along with some people and don't get along with others. We are not always in sync with each other about whom we enjoy and dislike.

Soooo tempting to say a lot of things here, but I’m going to self censor. I refer instead to my spokesperson Hurdy Gurdy.
