I never understood that whole fascination for guessing games anyway - enormously popular threads, and a gazillion of them. Whatever comes, comes, is my take on it. Wanted to create a meta topic on it, but decided against it, as it would no doubt offend people.
I get why the labels do them It's like a trailer/tease, and drums up interest and support for what it may well be/is. And it should just be a harmless piece of fun between fans and the producers. But there are some seriously ON THE SCALE/WELL OFF THE SCALE individuals who act almost despotic about them, and often reveal why 'we can't have nice things'.
So do I. I just don't get why people find them entertaining. I would have loved to sit on a stool and observe the psychological mechanisms in play, like in this shot from the great Norwegian film EGGS (1995):

I have never got it or liked it either. Ends up as stupid guessing games and clues like we are all children. Just tell us what the title is, the date of release and the cost!!
