I'm not that soft . I did listen to it. Not all but enough to say sounds worth a chance.

564: Ado’s doubling and tripling down on disgruntled members who’ve attempted to fix the reverse channels on the Mouse Hunt release in the “CD CLUB: MOUSE HUNT (ALAN SILVESTRI)” thread.

Jeyl: “It was tedious, but I went through all 44 tracks, swapped the stereo channels, re-imported them into Apple Music, converted them to AAC, added the artwork and boom. Done. Mouse Hunt with proper left and right channels. I feel whole again.”

Ado: “Gosh, and I went to all the trouble of turning my chair around!”

Spymaster: “I did the same thing - saved the switched files to my NAS and bingo.”

Ado: “or, just turn around.”

TerraEpon: “How about standing on your head? Turning your shirt inside out? Pinching chip clips to your arms?”

Ado: “As long as you are turned around, standing on your head would have no negative impact on the sound, the chip clips and turning your shirt inside out would not have any benefit.”

The entire exchange was a slice of genius, but it's Jeyl's "I feel whole again" that makes me wonder if he's joking or serious.

565. ZapBrannigan reversing the polarity of the neutron flow by turning a thread about Thunderbirds into yet another post about Star Track in "Unseen Thunderbirds Episode Found in Editor's Shed":

"I'll bet this was material that ITC was discarding, because storage costs money, or at least occupies space that could be used for something else. And the film editor would save these reels by taking them to his car rather than the dumpster.

It almost reminds me of Gene Roddenberry wheeling up to the studio storage building in a truck, and making off with the 35mm work prints and trims of Star Trek. He did it so Majel could sell clips by mail order, but the long-term effect was that he saved the clapper boards and deleted scenes from certain destruction."

566. Ian J. finding the silver lining in an aging soundtrack fan base dying off in the “Score CDs You Missed Buying When They Came Out” thread.

Justin Boggan: "Dozens from years of poverty, and one financial collapse to another. Sadly, many of these are titles people like Lukas have said will likely never be issued again, or MV has said that once it's gone, it's gone." :-(

Ian J: "I think our only hope with some of them is secondhand. I got The Abyss (expanded) and Elfman's POTA (expanded) via recent sell offs on the FSM marketplace listings."

567. Solium's complicated relationship with the woman version of Ghostbusters in "To Start a Nerd War":

"Got the digital copy as a freebee when I joined one of those streaming services. (I think MoviesAnyWhere) I hid the movie from view so I didn't even have to see the stupid thumbnail for the film."

568. Justin Boggan and Jim Phelps in "Mannix (Richard Hazard, Schifrin, others)":

Jim Phelps: "The entire series is currently $60.00."

Justin Boggan: "I'll leave that to those who want to watch it. Skimming it for score, I was bored!"

Jim Phelps: "Translation: Joe Mannix didn't get punched, shot, blinded, concussed, blown up, stranded in the desert, imprisoned, held hostage, or stalked by the every-other-season-vengeance-seeking psychopath from his Korean War platoon for Justin "Child of the '80s" Boggan's liking."

569 Once again Ado krycha007, self-proclaimed Bond expert, relentless super troll, and demented fuckwit proves yet again that's he's got his finger on the pulse of the soundtrack business

Adokrycha007 "...and it is through such nonsense comments and numerous statements (and there are already a lot of them on the internet) that one can assume with a high degree of certainty that this album will sell very badly."

MV of LalaLand "Over 2000 have been sold in the first week, but what do I know...I'm just a Caveman

big grin

I wonder what the response was to MV's reply.
I would bet that it was probably NOT, "Oops, I was wrong. I stand corrected."
Those words seems very hard for people to say in this day and age. big grin

To paraphrase Principal Skinner from an episode of "The Simpsons":

Ado: "Am I so out of touch?"

PAUSES

Ado: "No. It's MV who is wrong."

570. haineshisway, winning our hearts all over again with his tender charms in "Herrmann and Hitchcock: The Torn Curtain (New)":

"Oh, Steve, are you telling people this isn't the same old thing you've been posting since the Year One? Have you written new things, because it sure seems like the same thing to me. Or is it just the photos and posters that are new, as well as where it's posted."

Riker: "Yeah, last Tuesday."

TNG ended 30 years ago, if you can believe that.

573. Tall Guy, slowly becoming a non-musical musical Joker in "What Movie Did You Watch?" :

"Edit - if you want to call it a musical, so be it! I happen to think that labelling it as such is likely to put people off seeing it, which would be a great pity. I had a colleague who wouldn’t see Kill Bill because he’d heard about the animated sequence covering O-Ren Ishii’s childhood and said “I’m not paying good money to see a cartoon.”

P.S. You people need to leave Tall Guy alone. He is one of my FSM heroes. I admire the hell out of that (Tall) guy.

574. Clark Wayne, gushing over Lea Thompson Tiger Beat-style in "Elecric State, Nolan, Back to the Future":

"Having met Lea, I'd certainly say this was said tongue in cheek.

She is one of the warmest, friendliest celebs I have met, not to mention one of the sexiest, ever!

I met her and Claudia together, and was on Cloud Nine the rest of the day-my two teen BTTF crushes at once, still looking fine 20 odd years later!

"She was wearing a very low cut dress. In the photo my friend took, she is leaning forward and she is showing some serious cleavage....

I LOVE that woman.....!"
