South African actress Mary Peach is 90. She made her film debut in Room At The Top (1958, with Laurence Harvey), then had starring roles in Follow That Horse (1960), No Love for Johnnie (1961, with Peter Finch), A Pair of Briefs (1962, with list alumni Michael Craig), A Gathering of Eagles (1963, with Rock Hudson and Rod Taylor), Ballad in Blue (1965, with Ray Charles playing himself in the leading role!), BBC serial The Three Musketeers (1966-67, playing Milady De Winter, with Jeremy Brett and list alumni Brian Blessed), the recently recovered Doctor Who serial Enemy of The World (1967-68), and Scrooge (1970, with Albert Finney). Here's a promotional shot from early in her career.

New entry and it's another South African actress. Janet Suzman is 86. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards for Nicholas and Alexandra (1971), then starred in A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (1972, opposite Alan Bates), The Black Windmill (1974, with Michael Caine), Voyage of The Damned (1976), Nijinsky (1980, with Alan Bates again), The Draughtsman's Contract (1982), BBC serial The Singing Detective (1986), A Dry White Season (1989, with Marlon Brando), Nuns On The Run (1990), Inspector Morse (1993) and The Crown (2020). Here she is with Donald Sutherland in A Dry White Season (1989).

As the poster who found Elisabeth Waldo, I'm starting to wonder if we have any proof of life on her. Wikipedia's current stance might be wrong.

I remember Suzman from Black Windmill and the drama series Clayhanger (1976), with Harry Andrews. Striking lady. Cheekbones carved from marble.

Did I see somewhere Robert Wagner was 95 today? Wow. PR shot for the Hunters 1958

And Robert Flack, who sang 'Killing Me Softly With His Song' is 88 today. Roberta. Unless she had a discreet sex change
