Is there any love for the music from this 80's Animated series here?

I love the rockin' theme song, and the background music in the show does mind remind me at times of The Real Ghostbusters.

Shuki Levy ended up making a zillion dollars when he was Executive Producer of Saban Entertainment, who put out Power Rangers in the early 90s. Has anything by him ever been released or did he retire from music after all that MMPR money?

La La Land put out a 2 CD set of Masters of the Universe last year which was awesome.

Tele 80 has released a few CDs with his music, the best was their release of Inspector Gadget for the 30th Anniversary.

And there have been a few releases of some Power Rangers music.

There is still a lot outstanding. Right now Shuki Levy is working on a new kids show called Tribes of the Wild.

I have to bump this, I'm sorry it's just too groovy:

Ending theme instrumental

Loved the show as a kid. The music didn't make an impact on me like Masters of the universe or Inspector Gadget did. I can't remember much of the background music. Same thing with M.A.S.K.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't want to have a cd with this thoughsmile

This series passed me by. In the UK, it was only shown on Channel 4 on Sunday mornings, when I was at church. I vaguely remember the title, though.

I was just trying to find out which publishers retain the rights to Levy's music scores on BMI and ASCAP. If I'm reading it right, it's Warner or companies related to Warner. Jonny Quest was also Warner, so hopefully that's a good sign.

Just wanted to share that I asked Tele 80 in France about this one, and they said that they are hoping to release it, they are currently in discussions with Shuki Levy.

They have completed their releases for 2017, hoping for some new stuff from them next year. smile

The 80s cartoon genre is a sadly untapped well of music scores. Waiting for any such release makes me feel like this:

I will pray that you are correct.

Sad to report that Larry DiTillio, a writer heavily involved with Jayce, He-Man, She-Ra and The Real Ghostbusters, has passed away age 71. He was also known for his work on Babylon 5.

That's sad news, just 71 dam, Larry was very talented in TV its a big loss for sure, hopefully someone will honour one of those titles you stated lifefoot.

So do I. Have started a thread about this news on the other side of the board.

Nice fan effort/video here that contains some examples of the BGM of the show.

I think this series was very big in France. Not so much elsewhere. I only saw a few episodes growing up, I still haven't seen all of it. The music has a similar sound to shows of the era, and I really enjoy it - I would love a release of this some day.

I watched the lot of them. They were part of the Saturday morning programming of Sky Channel, with DJ Kat and Linda de Mol. Good times smile

It was? That's strange, because I watched a LOT of DJ Kat Shows back in the day...guess not all of the animated shows stuck with me.

Yes. Several shows on that list that I've completely forgotten, as opposed to those that really made an impact (HE-MAN and so on).

I was vaguely aware of the show in the 80s but for some reason I didn't watch it. Either it was on a an awkward time or clashed with something else. But it being Shuki Levy, I would like to see the music released!
