Jerry Goldsmith also used them to great effect in the scorpion scene in Capricorn One (though he swapped them for straight mutes when he recorded the album).
Malcolm McNabb performs some terrific harmon-muted trumpet solos in George Fenton's underrated score for China Moon. (I attended this session and it was great to watch McNabb and pianist Mike Lang show off their exceptional jazz skills.)
Barry gave us some nice harmon-muted trumpet solos in YOLT, Diamonds Are Forever, The Ipcress File and in the last track on The Specialist.

Mr. Phelps brought up Miles Davis and please listen accordingly. Davis used the mute extensively in the 50s, 60s--mainly on ballads--but also in the 80s.
John Barry used muted trumpet several times in the 60s, primarily to improvise in the background--The Knack, The Ipcress File, Thunderball instrumental version.
Dennis Steals the Embryo from Jurassic Park and The Message Montage from Rescuers Down Under are two instances that immediately come to mind though they're not particularly pronounced. It always struck me as interesting orchestration.
I think the effect is used for the Wet Bandtis in Home Alone too now that I'm thinking about it. Williams liked to use the sound for sneaky and or illicit activities.

I love this alternate take of Flamingo Sketches--I always get chills when the trumpet comes in. It drags behind the beat a little more than the version they used on the final recording.
If you have the complete CD release you know there are multiple takes of this cue, each with different mutes on the trumpet. The Harmon won out in the end!
This topic is interesting though because I think most muted trumpets use the Harmon mute? So, like, anything from the 50's and earlier.
