There were reports (from sources I believe) that Williams wound up fairly frustrated with/exhausted by J.J. Abrams' modus operandi (revisions revisions revisions), so while this is not a surprise, it is nice that it's confirmed.
As for the fifth Indy movie, let's see if that actually happens.
No big surprise there. What saddens me is that it may end up being the final Star Wars film he ever scores.
Has he confirmed yet if he's scoring Indy 5 in 2020? That's probably a safe assumption too.
After conducting some music from the Indiana Jones films at "Film Night" at Tanglewood in August of last year, Williams said he'd be willing to score Indy 5 if he's still around.
Without hyperbolizing - would this be the greatest achievement in the history of film composing? Nine films. Three trilogies over 43 years? I can't really think of a greater feat in film history.

I never want to see another Indy film with Harrison Ford, unless he's the ancient artifact they're looking to find. Oh wait, did they already do that in Blade Runner 1999?
Now we only need confirmation from God that he'll keep JW down here until that time. But if what they say about winning Oscars extending your lifespan is true, we all might be safe!
Not gonna lie, I was losing interest in this until I saw the teaser. It's great to see the trio TOGETHER in action scenes, and it appears as if they are participating in the journey together and not fragmented, as in The Last Jedi. And of course the last part of the trailer totally made it worthwhile...
Fantastic to have Princess Leia’a Theme front and center driving the teaser. Also, best opening to a Star Wars trailer yet. Every time they release one of these things I feel like I’m 10 years old again watching the first one unspool. Great job!
