Cary Fukunaga to direct "James Bond 25". Bond producers EON made the announcement today, adding that production had been pushed back to March 2019 for a worldwide release date of April 8, 2020.
Not sure why Marianelli should be a candidate considering he did only 1 Fukunaga project and many others since were all done by different composers... Hopefully Arnold "will be back".
Marianelli might get a chance but only if Bumblebee turns out alright I think.
Having Arnold back would be nice but a fresh composer with a fresh approach would be even better.
John Powell may not be interested in scoring this but he is my top pick.
There was a brief section in Iron Man 2 where John Debney (intentionally or not) hinted at his interest in scoring Bond. I liked that sound he crafted for that passage. That could turn out interesting.
Christophe Beck did some cool stuff for the first Ant-Man. If he can do more of then fun stuff and stay clear of temps then he could be a good choice too.
Still don't know what went wrong between Kraemer and the Mission Impossible films but scoring a Bond gig could more than make up for it.
Richard Jacques scored a Bond video game in 2010. I thought it was superb. If he could approach a film adaption with the same enthusiasm I sure would welcome having him on board.
There is no way they are going to give Howard Goodall a chance here but he's got that Bond parody, Johnny English, coming up. If he could score it straight and deliver the goods he might get considered. Who knows?
Ludwig Göransson has been getting all kinds of attention lately. I won't be surprised if he ended up on a shortlist for this. Same goes for Daniel Pemberton.

I think it's down to Craig dragging his feet and meddling with the scripts and shit (not to mention the colossal budgets). Once we get a new actor in there, hopefully we can get back to the "one every two years" schedule of the 70's and 80's.

Agreed. I've enjoyed some of the Daniel Craig movies but overall I'm just kind of starting to sour on his more dour portrayal of Bond. I'm looking forward to a James Bond who looks to be enjoying himself more often.

EON had to make a deal with a studio for the overseas distribution rights. That probably explains some of the delay.
We really haven't had consistency in releases since the 1980s which was a very different time, as the producers were the same, they had the same director in place through the decade and the budgets (and box office were fairly consistent. There also wasn't much competition in terms of blockbusters, or legal issues to be dealt with.
Because of this, even the change in studios with Octopussy to MGM and the change in Bond after AVTAK were fairly smooth.
After LTK, everything sort of fell apart.

Danny Boyle was never cut out to direct Bond - how he even got the "lead & go-ahead" is christ on a cracker, his work I've seen doesn't represent much quality to the depth of Bond, Shallow-G, 28 x2, Slumdog, Trainspotting were average at best, Boyle wasted everyone's time coz the film was a struggle quite understandable Craig's peed setback - big £ gone already .
If Arnold hasn't returned from hibernating, then I'd settle for Pemberton or Powell both seasoned pro's marching-on, either could work Bond standing on their heads.. I'm easy with other composers too there's talent around just find it & get on with it.
I certainly wouldn't use David Arnold .....five is enough. I've been listening to Stop-Loss and United 93 by John Powell and I'm sure he would do a great job on Bond 25 if signed up.
