This Posting was released this day on the Facebookpage of BEAT Records Italy.

"We have a breaking news... one of the 80s soundtracks Holy Grails will be soon available in the DDJ series... both in CD and Vinyl...

We can't even find the words to describe our excitement for this event.

Be prepared for the 5th of May, the next edition of MUSIC DAY ROMA in which we will present this incredible release!

Let's start the guessing game if you want, but be relieved, we'll give clues very soon!"

What do you guys think, could that be? wink

don't think so.
As far as i know, the DDJ Series contains only italian movies. mostly Horror / Giallo / Thriller etc.

Yes, and 'US Marshals complete!' etc etc!

I'm assuming it's a score from an Italian composer.

He was kidding - The Hearse is what Drivingmissdaisy always asks for, US Marshal is what The Mutant always asks for, and Fluppy Dogs is what Mr Paquet always ask for.

While, like ryan*, I can dream it's HIGHLANDER, if it's gonna be Italian related, why not THE FAN by Pino Donaggio.

*haha, just re-read the thread and realised ryan meant Fluppy Dogs!! smile

Looking at a list of 1980'[s films the only sports title that stood out to me was Speed Cross.

Not familiar with that one.

Not familiar with that one.

Maybe a reflection of cultural ignorance, but are dirt bike movies known for their awesome soundtracks?

Just one of their usual suspect or someone else for a change? That would be a true holy grail to see them finally focus on anyone else outside those 3 composers they have been releasing all the time...

I like Stelvio Cipriani but an awful lot of his scores tend to sound very much like the last one...

i guess, that Guido & Maurizio de Angelis Soundtrack is a Holy Grail, not for the customers or fans BUT for Daniele de Gemini. That is fine with me! smile

Is there any particular reason why this sounds like the candidate?

The De Angelis brothers have done some fun scores, but they do tend to be a bit 'disposable', and I can't think of any that warrant the build-up that Beat are giving this one?
