Just curious.

The classic answer is the TERMINATORs, of course. Impossible to listen to on its own (outside the theme), but one of the best sound design scores in film history.

Other than that, my knowledge is skimpy. There are some good bits in TRUE LIES and JOHNNY MNEMONIC. FRIGHT NIGHT never did much for me. I would be curious to know if he had more melodic scores; and quite curious about his opera.

Fright Night. Masterpiece. And, obviously: master tapes are lost forever...

Fright Night Part II, even better score and tapes also supposedly missing (bankrupt production Company).

Hope some of our beloved labels could engage Fiedel on a Full rerecording.

A tie between THE TERMINATOR (which is absolutely listenable outside of the movie!) and THE SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW.

With TERMINATOR 2, LET'S GET HARRY, NOWHERE TO HIDE and THE REAL McCOY just behind.

I just picked up Code Red's Blu-ray remaster of JUST BEFORE DAWN (81). His score adds considerably to the dread of one of the best slasher movies.

Haven’t heard anything else, but TERMINATOR, TERMINATOR 2 and TRUE LIES are all entertaining.

Terminator has great original concepts and works as background music if you need dark, futuristic, synthy inspiration.

Terminator 2 is the same but more polished.

True Lies is interesting in the orchestral ideas though the theme is a little bit clunky. But I think it did the “comedic action” well which is hard to do right.

Terminator 2

though The Accused is on my "to-hear" list

For impact and originality, Terminator. Seminal theme and score.

Hands down the "The Terminator" (the latest edition, not the "definitive" one) for me.

Lots of great and imaginative sounds for its time, and the previously hardly bearable synch issues between the synth and drum machine set-ups were (mostly) corrected, thanks god. But it's essential to add the "Terminator Theme" and "Future Remembered" tracks from the original album release to the program. None of the later released versions come close to these, imho.

A close second place is "The Serpent And The Rainbow" - a brilliant score as well (though, if i remember correctly, it integrated lots of sounds from the previous - rejected - scores from different composers, including Charles Bernstein). Correct me if i'm wrong there...

"Fright Night" is a score which is loved all around, but i fail to comprehend why. I love "Come To Me" (the instrumental version of course), but the rest always had this very cheesy and dated "simple synth doodling" character for me. But hey, tastes are different and that's great!

Best,
Burnie

The Terminator by a wide margin.

More listenable than T2 IMO. The Police Station shoot out, Reese Dreams Of Future War, the Main Title and End Credits, the Love Scene, the Tunnel Chase, and even the songs made for the film like Burnin in the Third Degree (which unfortunately weren’t included in the latest edition).

Personally hoping for an eventual release of Striking Distance.

The three rejected scores built upon each other, but Fiedel did an entirely new score.

A lot of his stuff I haven't heard, but I like some of his mid 80s stuff like FRIGHT NIGHT, LET'S GET HARRY and NOWHERE TO HIDE.
