It may be unlikely, but I’m hoping we’ll finally get Diary of Anne Frank on Black Friday.

It would be spooky if the titles were locked down.

Black Friday after-announcement commentary: 1980sSoundtrackWhore(?): "Not enough 1980's scores!" Random Curmudgeon: "Not another fucking re-issue!" Yavar: "I wish there had been Goldsmith in this batch." Random bitcher: "Not another fucking Goldsmith release!" henry: "Too bad there was no Bill Conti in this batch." First Breath: "Goddamnit, more old fashioned scores! And you're all A-holes for not liking synth scores." Random poster: "Has it shipped yet?" Another random poster: "Announcement says it doesn't ship until __________." Spammer: "If you need help with fake I'D's and fake currency, go to... (also, I have no dick)" Random Astute Poster: "Anybody notice the five second of missing mixing bowls in track twelve?" Everybody else (grateful bastards): "Ordered!"

What about that Morricone's western within Universal Heritage series? I seem to recall either MV or Mike Mattesino stating that Two Mules for Sister Sara won't be out until next year.

Yavar: "I wish there had been Goldsmith in this batch." Haha. I don't think I actually tend to post that for LLL batches. It's more something I've regularly said about Varese batches without Goldsmith, because they control more Goldsmith titles in perpetuity than any other composer, their Club releases are relatively few and infrequent, and until recently we thought that no other label could release said in-perpetuity controlled titles. (Though maybe that's more hope for that now after LLL licensed the two Goldsmith PotA scores from Varese.) I have no doubts about all the other labels tackling Goldsmith scores as often as they are able. They're all Goldsmith fans and they also know he sells. But Varese has been the only label that can expand titles they've released, and at the rate they've been tackling their Goldsmith expansions (which I admit has improved over the past several years), CDs will be dead as a format before they release all them complete.
