You know, there was life before Jerry Goldsmithsmile Pairings were routine in the studio era. Korngold-Flynn; Steiner-Flynn; Steiner-Davis (14 films, I think?). Rozsa-Lancaster; Rozsa-Taylor; Newman-Peck, etc.

Uh ... in a round number, I'd say Piccioni scored 30 movies starring Sordi. Perhaps more? I don't have an exact number 'cause I merely 'eyeballed' IMDB (I ran out of fingers to count on).

Consider, too, the not-insignificant number of pictures that Armando Trovajoli 'scored' with Sophia Loren.

Well, Goldsmith was not the only composer to score seven Sean Connery films. John Barry scored a few obscure Connery flicks--
