Karate Kid TWO!!!! That is literally the BEST Bill Conti score. Blood In Blood Out is second. I am also going broke. Varese releases, LLL releases, Intrada releases, etc. HEEELLLLLPP!!!

Ooooh. GRAVEYARD SHIFT is a nostalgic favourite of mine. The film, that is. I can't remember anything of the score. But I had a track on one of those old Stepen King compilations. I don't think it ever had a full soundtrack release, though? Is that a synth score? I also love the film but can't remember the score to save my life. Something tells me it was a combo of synth and orchestral but I could be confusing that with something else.

I can't remember. But aren't Marinelli and Banks those YOUNG GUNS guys? So perhaps something like that - rock guitars in a horror style? We'll find out in due time. I doubt the score is anything for me; I just had an instant nostalgic reaction when I saw the film title. I had the same response when I saw it. It's definitely not a title I ever expected to see released. Curious to hear the samples. Part of me wants to buy it for nostalgic reasons as well as to show support for these unexpected titles

GRAVEYARD SHIFT is one of the underrated creature features of that era. I'll be checking this out for sure. I have the KARATE KID box set but I bought LLL's redo of the first one and I'll probably get this one too. Definitely my favorite of the series. Plus, I can't really keep my KK fanboy license (ahem, https://kkreflections.tumblr.com/) if I don't.

I wonder if KKII will include that Obon Dance music before the final fight. I loved that stuff!

I don't think it ever had a full soundtrack release, though? The track on the King compilation was from the trailer. Composed by John Beal. There has not been a soundtrack release. Marinelli (and Banks) used to work with Moroder, so this is interesting. The film.is on youtube. The main titles is kind of ambient with female voice, the end title is a bizarre rhythmic theme with dialogue from the film sampled over the music. Musicians on the score feature Beth Andersen, Vinnie Colauita, Luis Conte, Dean Parks and Carmen Twillie. https://youtu.be/vY6VhCb820w
