This week we will be dropping four new CD releases.

The first will be a new Composer Collection—this time it’s a composer who is new to the DRAGON’S DOMAIN catalogue. The album is a 2-CD set featuring scores that were released in the 1980’s on LP, but never on CD.

One is flat-out adventure film score and the other is a noirish detective thriller. Neither film takes place in the USA (though the composer is a Hollywood veteran).

Here are samples of both scores:

Sample #1: https://tinyurl.com/y3rj6qnw

Sample #2: https://tinyurl.com/yy7vbc64

The next is release is from the early 1990’s, a rather fun little family comedy with a charming score by the composer that hasn’t been released in any form ever, We’ll have autographed booklets available on this one.

Here is a sample: https://tinyurl.com/y4uhpu9l

The third release is a reissue of a classic 1980’s horror score remixed and rebuilt from the ground up with the help of the composer. In our opinion sounds better then ever before. Sorry - no samples on this one because you’d guess it in a second.
Autographed booklets will be available on this one also.

The last is a fantasy-comedy from the mid-1990’s that is pretty obscure, from a favorite composer of ours. The music is just loads of fun and deserves to be heard at long last and. Autographed booklets will be available on this one.

Here is sample: https://tinyurl.com/y4yy9oo9

All four titles (and perhaps a digital-only release as well) should appear early Wednesday!

The early 90s release sounds so much like Chuck Cirino, it's crazy. Might I presume either of the Munchie scores?

The composer of the two scores on the first release is Albert Glasser. They must be HUK and TOKYO FILE 212 released on LP in the 1980s by Screen Archives Entertainment.

Halloween II has my guess for the “third” title.

Have no idea about the other ones, but I like the samples.

I must admit the only Dragon's Domain that I own is probably FRANZ WAXMAN: THE DOCUMENTARIES. Any chance of something similar soon?

The last sample (labeled teaser #3, not teaser #4) is pretty cool, has some nice Herrmannesque touches.

My hope is Halloween III, containg all cues from the AHI and Death Waltz releases. THAT would be awesome. I'd take II as well, of course. Any 80's Carp'n'Howie, for that matter :-)

Best,
Burnie

Last Child got to it ahead of me.

Didn't expect to hear 1950s recordings because, last month, the clue mentioned 2 LPs from the '80s.
These will be the oldest recordings issued by Dragon's Domain/BuySoundtrax so far.

Were the album masters from SAE utilized? Or did James Nelson/Digital Outland do vinyl rips as had been done with the Japanese LPs (i.e. Ragland's Grizzly or Jaguar)?

I’d also prefer a complete and remastered Halloween III, but a better release of II would be great also.

Brad Fiedel recently mentioned that new tapes may have been found for Fright Night, but it seems to soon as this was about a month ago (and it seems more likely it would be Intrada to release it)

One Additional little Hint: It's a orchestral score

,
I gotta agree. The sound clip has that Cirino vibe; that Cirino beat. Gotta be, just gotta be. If it's Cirino, it's bought.

Number 4 sounds like a Full Moon/Moonbeam score. Maybe "Magic Island," "Beanstalk," or "Demon in the Bottle."

That's coming out next month or early December (I forget) from WRWTFWW Records, along with TERRORVISION and GHOULIES.

GHOULIES is definitely on CD, I pre-ordered it. I assumed the others were, but didn't look too far into it since I already own them.

EDIT: TROLL is indeed a CD release, but for some reason not TERRORVISION.
