Might I suggest editing the title so people don't think it's an attack on the FSM label (maybe amend it to "FSM users?"). People here went on about how "mature" and blah-be-dah Horner's score for "Enemy at the Gates" was. I went to a music store (yeah, those still exited here at the time) and bought it. How horribly wrong all that nonsense was. I ended up getting I think seven dollars for it, selling it to a used CD store. That store -- the last one in the county -- closed up shop like a year or two later. ZERO regrets.

Name a score that people on here just seem to adore and so much so that you went out and bought it without hearing it only to be crushingly disappointed. Two that I can think of are How to Train Your Dragon and Evil Dead (Banos). I don't know much about Banos, but I don't get the love for Debney. I have several of his CDs and I am underwhelmed by most of them. (I like buying cheap CDs at thrift stores and such. lol) Well, in this day and age, you rarely have to take people's word for it. One can easily sample stuff before buying on various platforms like Youtube or Spotify. I do agree with you, however, that the HTTYD scores are overrated. I mean, they are fine, but they're also rather bloated. EVIL DEAD, I sampled once years ago, but didn't make much an impression on me. Banos hasn't been very interesting for a very long time.

I meant to say Powell, not Debney. Oops! Easy mistake

I'll just address HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON. If you saw the film and listened through the ears/eyes of child – or better yet, your own – you'd see just how profound, varied, touching and special it is. HTTYD is a generation's STAR WARS. Oh god, not another score i gotta ban in zooms!! Lol And dont worry pincus, i saw how you managed to crowbar in S*** Wars in a totally unrelated thread.
