Gerald Fried: Never did it. They probably tracked some of my music into that show. This happens a lot, and if they track over fifty percent of the piece then they have to give you credit. I also got credit on one or two SIMPSONs, they quoted my STAR TREK music on that show!

I'll take the orchestral music for the Chinese chopsticks song. For some reason the producers decided the series needed to have random songs placed in it. Producer: "You know what the throwaway comedic scene about using chopsticks needs? A comedic chopsticks song for one minute sung by Sally Stevens! Yeah, I think it's a good idea -- why do you ask? Ah huh. Ah huh. Ah huh. You're fired."
Well, we get to see Stevens in beachwear, so that kind of makes up for the singing.

Actor John Astin does not return to play Father Lundigan, unfortunately. "Bewitched" actor Paul Lynde plays the character. And he's not scored by "Bewitched" composer Barker.
According to trivia for the show on IMDb, the producers were deep into preparation to have Sister Bertrille be none other than Gidget, who decided to become and a nun and was now leading a happy life. One season one episode shows clips of Bertrille's life before becoming a nun, and its just clips from "Gidget". At some point they decided -- for whatever reasons -- to not make Sister Bertrille be Gidget. This episode, for example, wipes out the maybe she was but it wasn't mentioned on-screen chances. In the end it's probably best, because Sally Field may have quit; reading multiple trivia items -- she hated the show with a passion and wouldn't even read the script until the last minute; seeing Gidget de-evolve into Sister Bertrille, probably would have enraged her and caused her to walk.
Had no idea Warren Barker had done so much on this show when he was already busy with "Bewitched" and would soon score S3 of "That Girl" and, after this, "My World and Welcome To It." I remember Earle Hagen writing in his autobiography that he thought Warren was an excellent writer (and he was), often having to write "That Girl" eps with a day's notice.
How the hell did they get (or did he want it) Rob Stack to guest star. The star of the show didn't even like the show. He must have wanted to bang Sally, too.
