Goldsmith at 20th: Vol. V - Music For Television (1968-1975) 2-Disc Limited Edition Composed and Conducted by Jerry Goldsmith Limited Edition of 2000 units
Available to order Tuesday, September 13th, at 12:00 PST
Soundtrack Spotlight (with many music samples) from The Goldsmith Odyssey coming in the next several days… but for now I’ll just say: OVER 40 MINUTES of previously unreleased Goldsmith, the most on any LLL Goldsmith at 20th volume to date!
Spectacular. I am delighted! Maybe the recording of A GIRL NAMED SOONER will have levels not so "hot" as the FSM edition was unable to improve on years ago.
Perhaps only recently discovered in the Fox vaults but it’s been available for public viewing at UCLA for years. Unfortunately I only found out after I moved away from LA.
Looks great. I'm hoping the Complete score for A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN is included. What lovely and wonderful music Jerry Goldsmith wrote for it. Here is a short, but very nice unreleased cue not on the Goldsmith Box Set.
The score is quiet, delicate and beautiful in it's heartfelt approach. Some of the music evokes great sadness and the material for Cliff Robertson has a tragic feeling to it, perfectly underscoring his character and what he's going through. And ultimately Goldsmith injects hopefulness for a new beginning for Francie and her new life. Thank you Jerry Goldsmith for putting so much heart, love, soul and passion into your music for A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN.
Oh WOW!! This release if great news. Thanks to MVG and the folks at La-La Land for releasing some Goldsmith gems hidden away in the vaults at Fox. I can't wait for the ordering date! This news makes my day.
