Jerry Goldsmith apparently had a love for the word "No". I even made not one but two CD-R`s featuring music by Goldsmith that has cues/tracks with that word in it. I call them "Jerry Goldsmith Says No".

My two CD-R`s featuring these tracks:
No Security from Air Force One
No Money and No Bullets from Bad Girls
No Word Yet and No Entry from Breakheart Pass
No More Money from Breakout
No Beer and No Lights from The Burbs
No Water from Capricorn One
No Solution from Chain Reaction
No Customs from Congo
No Matches from The Edge
No Air from Explorers
No Frlendlies from Extreme Prejudice
No Power from First Blood
No Respectable Gentleman from The First Great Train Robbery
No Kiss, No Joy and No One Moves from First Knight
No Rest For The Wicked from The Flim-Flam Man
No Santa Claus and No Gizmo from Gremlins
No Rats from Gremlins 2
No Messenger, No Pain and No Red Lights from Innerspace
No Sale and No Diamonds from King Solomon`s Mines
No Friends and No Choice from Malice
No Job from Not Without My Daughter
No Choice from One Little Indian
No Assignment from Patton
No Escape from Planet Of The Apes
No Complaints from Poltergeist
No Friends from The Prize
No Alternative from Ransom
No Interview and No Luther from Runaway
No Thanks from The Secret Of N.I.M.H.
No Shadow and No Thought from The Shadow
No Problem from Sleeping With The Enemy
No More Indians from Stagecoach
No Threat from Star Trek: Insurrection
No Effect from The Swarm
No Pain from Timeline
and finally No Rest For The Wicked from The Traveling Executioner

That is a lot of love of the word "No" and I find it actually ironic that Goldsmith almost always used that word since he was more or less famous for being very productive.

Ha, that's a fun observation.

Leitmotif (perhaps?)

Not sure, but it seems First Breath is after words uses to name tracks, not words used to describe the music or its construction.

What was Elfman's pet cue title? First Confrontation? Final Confrontation?

Front Titles (George Fenton)
Main On End (Alan Silvestri)
Williams also often liked to place the word 'Scene' at the end of many cue titles.
