I just do this as a separate post so the reissue-producers can see it I would love to have the song in both album version and single version (with ending) and film mix version with first chorus cut out I would love to see "run, shoot, jump" included as recorded and in its film mix where a section is cut out and the music is repeated regardless of the opinion of the song "the experience of love" I would love to see it included in its album version (soundtrack) and short version (which was released on an Eric Serra CD), and film mix if that differs from the short version no cross mix or cross fades of small cues soundtrack album versions of several cues also included so I can recreate the original album if I want besides the film score oh year this one is about the liner notes less focus on the production behind the film and more focus on the production behind the score (if I want to know about the film I can watch the bonus material on the dvd)

Mark, who are the reissue producers and where have they confirmed this is coming out? Cheers

oh year this one is about the liner notes less focus on the production behind the film and more focus on the production behind the score (if I want to know about the film I can watch the bonus material on the dvd) This is the case on almost all releases. I totally agree. I have very little interest in the production of any film.

Mark, who are the reissue producers and where have they confirmed this is coming out? Cheers I would believe - without knowing itfor sure of course - that NSBULK would be one as he worked on the past three releases of course, that was a collaboration with D. Arnold, so nothing is sure but Now I have suggested what I would like to see releases and I have a hard time believing it will only be the 3 Brossnan-Arnold scores do you think the three releases we have now are the only ones that would have come?

Leaving aside the absurdity of this topic... I love this score, but if I were the publisher, it would be the last disc of the whole 007 franchise that was released extended. We all know what kind of feedback this music has had in the world for 28 years... Does not deserve it, but there is no arguing with democracy.

Obviously there were talks of other expanded Bond scores (Licence to Kill, Moonraker and OHMSS if I remember correctly). GoldenEye has never been part of the conversation though. The score is pretty polarizing, Serra himself also doesn't seem to be to fond of it, so we'll just have to wait and see if LLL will expand this one well. I certainly wouldn't mind it, if only for the gunbarrel cue!

it's not upcoming it's not confirmed it's worst Bond score We'll just have to disagree with two of the three SPY is worse than GE at least on album Licence to Kill on album is not good either and certainly need the expansion A lot of Barry scores were not that good on album before being expanded - DAF would not be that good if it was just album - all the extra music was what elevated the score - YOLT's A Drop in the Ocean was ruined by a shortening edit on the original album - Ski Chase from OHMSS was also shortened on OST leaving out the best part of it AND "Over and Out" had that stupid fade out on OST I find that there is a lot of good music in the GE-score "We share the same passions" is one of the hightights run, shot, jump, dish out of water, stealing the helicopter, escaping the tiger helicopter, Bond to St. Petersburg, gunbarrel and dam jump and the unreleased original version of the revised tank chanse

We also don't know at this point if we'll see any more expanded 007 scores as the Amazon deal has added additional legal wrinkles to the situation. If a deal has been made before amazon became involved Ii would believe the deal would be honored

I really doubt we'll be seeing this in the foreseeable future. There are so many other Bond scores which are actually good (and don't sound like R2D2 and C-3PO having a belching contest) that would sell much better. We also don't know at this point if we'll see any more expanded 007 scores as the Amazon deal has added additional legal wrinkles to the situation. If Amazon has a legal team that can navigate the takeover of MGM, a leading entertainment company focused on the production and global distribution of film and TV content across all platforms then surely it can overcome hurdles involved in releasing albums of a few film scores? I'd love to see an expanded Goldeneye happen, likewise Moonraker, License to Kill, The Man With The Golden Gun. My guess is these will happen. La La Land opened the gates and surely there is more to follow but I have no idea about timeframes and certainly no insider information, that's all way above my status and paygrade.

Okay that is hilarious! I wish I could still play FPS games without getting nausea because I still have my N64 AND my Goldeneye cart. While I'm definitely in the "WTF IS THIS" camp on GE, I would gladly snatch up any Bond expansion. As others have said, the score has a few minor highlights that would make my playlist (particularly Altman's Tank/St. Pete cue and the Gunbarrel cue). I was pretty cold on DND but I bought the expansion because I was just happy to have it and, what do you know, the score grew on me. To Mark's point about the behind-the-scenes film talk in the notes, I completely agree with that. Behind the scenes music talk in the notes is always much more enjoyable to me.

no cross mix or cross fades of small cues soundtrack album versions of several cues also included so I can recreate the original album if I want besides the film score oh year this one is about the liner notes less focus on the production behind the film and more focus on the production behind the score (if I want to know about the film I can watch the bonus material on the dvd) I second malmstrom's original post and will add that I request, nay demand, a lenticular cover of the film's poster art that when you turn it at an angle, causes James Bond to change between two running positions while the flames appear in the background, a la a similar cover for the VHS release of "Independence Day". I also want a track-by-track explanation from Serra for why he chose the music he chose and a cross-examination-style rebuttal from relevant members of the production crew who disagreed with the music choice, and a final defense from Serra along with either a downloadable file or USB thumbdrive of Serra's original electronic music source files, and have either be password-protected with the password "KNOCKERS" or "CHAIR". Seriously though, I don't know how much music is missing but I think this would really be a great release that would benefit from proper film ordering, including any music that had been tracked (like "Run, Shoot, Jump"). I know that I always missed the gun barrel from the album + the opening dam music. Some of that was very atmospheric and I wonder if it was all Serra or some of the sound design, but I do think this could be a really cool album that would appeal to contemporary Bond fans.

My favourite track is We share the same passions. Serra captured the Bond sound with that cue. That whole scene is so Bond classic line like that's one trick i'd never learn before going in a different direction because of: plot and the music is just great - better than the natalya theme (love theme?) but also the many overlays fatal weakness actually just seems to be something that was meant to play under an overlay tune THE ORIGINAL ALBUM though HAS to be included because of it's historic place into BOND music - or at least just the unique tracks from it that cannot be recreated from the main score and also the single version of GoldenEye and the shortened version (and/or film verrsion) of the Serra song and film-shorted mix and repeat of RUN, SHOOT and JUMP which is actually the same mix used througout the film - at the archives and at the antenna
