And I know you likely can't speak further on this...
But this drives us batshit!! I can only hope something further is coming, because you told us not to buy American Werewolf in London either, and that was a few years ago. That turned out to be sub par, almost a boot (I hear! Never pursued it), and I wish you could somehow hint this release is the same thing?!
Or should we take silence as a "Yes, The Tri-L is doing Summer School".
The blurb for this thing is by longtime (and reputable AFAIK) Fangoria contributor Michael Gingold, so.....wha gives?

This Is a real release but it's only 19 minutes long and from what I have been told the sound quality is meh.

The score is very short to begin with. Less than 10 minutes, if memory serves, so if it's 19, it's more than the complete score in the film (the blurb also talks about a couple of cues that were unused in the film). Of course, in an ideal world it could have been coupled with another unreleased Elfman score (like, say, my no. 1 desired unreleased Elfman, HOT TO TROT), but if that's not possible, I take whatever I can get.
More worrying is what you say about the sound quality, though. If by 'meh' you mean as bad as the Perseverance release of RAIN MAN, for example, and a better-sounding release is down the line (like the NoteforNote release of RAIN MAN a couple of years after the Perseverance), then that's cause for hesitation.
