Very cool. That's one I've long been hoping LLL would greatly expand. Whoever sequenced the original CD seemed to be trying for a Sleepless in Seattle-style crossover CD, including a lengthy party medley of standards while omitting much of Williams' score.
And three months with no new LLL releases has been painful. Welcome back!
I remember seeing Williams conducting his main theme for this at Lincoln Center back in 2011 where it accompanied a montage of clips from Audrey Hepburn films and recall liking the theme. I’ll definitely have to give this a try.
This is a release I've been expecting for so long. At last.
Fond memories of this music and its history.
Sabrina is a hidden treasure in John Williams' career, in the same way The Accidental Tourist is.
1995 brought us Nixon and Sabrina, two exceptional works. Old fashioned music in the correct meaning of the term, which was beginning to be out of step with the times - just like the film (A guilty pleasure).
Harrison Ford is great and if I'm not mistaken, this is John Williams' last collaboration with the Bergmans. Lots of unreleased music and film versions hopefully.
CD2 will be - very possibly - a remastered edition of the highly enjoyable OST
