Hello Team! I have decided to direct a certain amount of the revenue from our new CD sale to improving this board. It has been a longtime coming. Another reason to buy: www.fsmcds.com First, I need to get estimates from our designer. So I need to know...what is it people want? Improvements that are specific and limited are preferred. Big changes or add-ons are unlikely at this time. Please summarize here. Thanks! Lukas

I wish quotes were more easily discernable than simply being italicized. Right now to make quotes readily distinguishable, I used HTML coding (without spaces): < blockquote>< hr>QUOTE< hr>< /blockquote> I wish the search box wouldn't be down so often. Or that it did a better job at searching. Maybe a poll option. NO links allowed in posts by new users. Certain words trigger holds on accounts, leaving users only here for a week or two, unable to post ("spells" and other words). New users (about two weeks or less here) can only create a new thread once every ten or so minutes.

Can we add a function to vett new members, in order to reduce spam and trolls?

First: I love this board, and thank you for keeping it alive and even offering improvements. Just two quick thoughts: - can you make the text one quotes visually more separate from the answers? - can the search function be improved? Thank you again for all the hard work! Best regards, Stefan

I would like a "like" button, like on Facebook.

Great news! 1. First and foremost: For the last few years, the board is sporadically down (2-3 times a week on average). All one gets is a blank page and the words "Service not available". Hopefully that can be fixed. 2. Get the search engine working again. Even using the regular tricks, like putting things in quotes etc., or using Google instead, only gets you so far. 3. Perhaps a more intuitive way of posting photos and videos. On most boards these days, these are automatically embedded when you put in the link, but this one still uses manual code that the user must type in. This is the LEAST important thing. If it requires a whole new and expensive board interface, it's NOT worth it. Otherwise, I think the board works fine as is. True, it's an ancient layout -- a blast from the early 2000s -- but that's part of the charm, I suppose. Less fancy options make it easier to get an overview somehow.

I would love being able to go directly to the last post in a thread from the "overwiev" page instead of entering a thread and then jumping to the last post there. Can't you do that already? Just go to the end of the line next to last posters name n press the little "View" button?

Film composer emojis. Ok, we need a "Goldsmith Approved" badge.

I like the new users post X replies before starting topics, but I think I've more frequently seen spam appear as in topic replies than as new topics (though it is massive when it's as new topics). So they could API 30 'Free Boobs!' replies, cross the line and spam the board with 'Free Boobs!' topics, then their mess is everywhere (effortlessly, on their part). Maybe instead vett the first ... three(?)-ish posted replies by new users? There may be current, trustworthy members willing to join a team on that. I think you'd have to be a real soundtrack person to adequately reply to three soundtrack topics. Just thinking aloud, here.
