I've been in an out of various threads concerning shipping troubles (and pressing issues with City Hall). Just curious if many are still experiencing problems with not getting their orders fulfilled. Is it safe to assume that it's not a good idea to order directly from them anymore?
So did I. Been wanting Rudy and L.A. Confidential too long.
I did run across a few V-S discs from the '22 sale that won't rip, or only ripped partially after many grueling tries that I thought my destroy my drive (both by Laurent Eyquem oddly enough). I'm sure a replacement is long out of the question, so nothing to do but shrug it off.
But of course! Just 2 weeks after I placed my last order from them (I tried to buy City Hall - ha-ha-ha), and now 3 titles from that order are on sale. My luck is so... "Luck"
There are several titles I'd like to listen to the samples for to gauge my interest in buying, like Orphan Black and Cabin in the Woods, but clicking them redirects to Amazon S3 and returns an error "AllAccessDisabledAll access to this object has been disabled". Just in case someone over there is reading these threads...
Well, I didn't have the time/patience to see what out of the 148 listed on the sale pages, was in stock. I guess chalk that up to more current Varese incompetency: having CD's up for a sale that ends soon, that are not even in stock.
