Now that the new recording of the Score from TARAS BULBA is "in the can" would people be upset if I did not record the source music, the Yul Brynner songs and the chistmas carols from the movie?

If you will be upset that they are not included then it's going cost me a whole lot more to record these "extras"

PS

Tadlow has a swanky new website ... let me know if anything doesn't work???

I, for one, don't need the songs from the film. Actually, you don't need to rerecord that "Ride to Dubno" piece, either. Well, I'm kidding about the latter. This is one of my most anticipated releases of 2011.

No, I won't be upset if those songs are not included. While I have your eye, not your ear, may I make a request for DUEL IN THE SUN somewhere in the near future. Thanks.

If they were included, it would just cost me a lot of time (and a CD/r) to make my own copy of the score without them. ;-) So don't include them on my account.

I can do just fine without them. Looking forward to the release.

I forgot to mention in my post that I hope you will consider Herrmann's OBSESSION for a future rerecording. TARAS can't arrive soon enough!

As far as I'm concerned James, you can skip the source music, I'm just looking forwards to listening to this spectacular score, spectacularly recorded by you and your merry band.

I doubt I would ever listen to the songs anyway. The score, however, can't be released fast enough.

Same for me, don't really need the source cues and songs.

Looking forward to hearing the complete score.

Forget the Source - The results will be disportionate to the efforts and costs.

Well Done!

Score only for me. No source needed.

Can't wait for this. Looking forward to finally hearing this score the way it should sound. The original album is awful.

Don't need the songs, source music or Christmas carols, but I do think you should hire Meco to record a disco versio of "The Ride to Dubno."

No songs or source music, just the great incidental score!

Thanks for all your efforts!

The only way I would want the songs is to have Yul Brynner and Tony Curtis sing them and since that isn't possible, no songs . . . no source . . .just all Franz will be sufficient. All kidding aside; the Tadlow ouput has been unbelieveable. Thank you so much for the Cid, Exodus, Lawrence and Davy Crocket!!!!!

I would rather have that money, time and effort put into the NEXT Tadlow release, whatever it proves to be, rather than the TARAS songs and carrols.

Fine with me not to include that material -- I am eagerly awaiting this release!

Not to be contrary, but I don't think we need the songs or source. Oh wait, that's what everybody else is saying? Well then, I agree!
