La-La Land Records is honored to announce THE X-FILES VOLUME ONE. This 4 disc set features over 5 hours of some of the creepiest, most elegant AND suspenseful action music composed from this now classic television show. After working on this project for more than two years, Mark Snow, James Nelson and the rest of the gang at La-La Land have come up with, what we believe to be, the absolute BEST musical moments from show. Housed in an attractive reinforced black cardboard slipcase, this collection of music from all 9 Seasons of the hit television show is a must have keepsake for any fan of the series! The 40 page booklet includes in depth liner notes by Randall D. Larson, detailing the history of the series, its music and its mystery. Comments from composer Mark Snow give the listener a deeper insight into his craft.

As an added bonus, composer Mark Snow was kind enough to sign the first 400 or so units purchased directly through the La-La Land website at no additional charge!

Artwork, sound clips and more details to follow.

Next up:

SOCOM 4 – 2 CD SET

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and La-La Land Records are proud to announce a 2 disc limited edition release to Bear McCreary’s tour de force score to SOCOM 4, the latest installment in the hit series of video games. This pulse-pounding score features a full orchestra incorporating Asian instruments, including a gamelan ensemble. The score was recorded entirely with live musicians at the famed Warner Bros. Eastwood Scoring Stage in Los Angeles and Skywalker Studios in Northern California. The music is among the most adaptive and dynamic game scores ever made, pushing the boundaries of what music can do in a video game.

The first 200 copies purchased directly through the La-La Land website will be signed by Mr. McCreary at no extra charge.

Artwork, sound clips and more details to follow.

See y’all back here next Tuesday, May 10 at 1 pm PST

You're killing me, MV! My wedding is 5/14 and I don't think I'm going to be able to justify a $50 entertainment expense a few days prior, so hopefully there will still be some boxes hanging around when I get back from my honeymoon smile

Yup both ordered as soon as possible. Hopefully I can get a signed copy of both; though poor Mr Snow, I guess that's why it's taken a while to come out. That's a darn load of signing smile

2012 for Vol 2 seems so far away at present (speaking of Vol 2 hopefully BSG Vol 2 will be out soon)

Thank you MV, LLL and co.

Volume 1? Yes!
A Volume 2? YES!
400 Autographed copies??? WOOHOO!!!!

I now have a decent shot of getting a signed copy. I remember last year ID4 sigs sold out in 4 minutes, and I was left without one.

I was a casual X-Files fan but always enjoyed it when I watched it and really liked Snow's music, so even though most of this will be new to me I will absolutely grab a copy!

I won't believe this is real until I have it in my shaking hands... and even then I'll be pinching myself.

For some it's STAR TREK, for some it's BUFFY, for some it's LOST, but for me, THE X-FILES was the first show I was a serious geek about, and this set really is a dream come true. I just hope Vol. 2 doesn't get delayed multiple times...

Quickly: Don't you mean 5 hours of music? 6 hours would necessitate a 5th disc, right? (Which I'm fine with...)
