I have a baby that doesn't sleep too much?

In your opinion what scores could be appropiate for this purpose or at least some that might calm the baby.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Best

We had also a problem with our son when he was a baby to get him sleep. Mostly we were succesful when playing the CD Laurel and Hardy´s Music Box, Vol.2. However this did not always work...

Good Luck!

"Angela's Ashes" if you can get the non-US version without narration.

"Psycho" would be Great for sleepy time if it were not for a few moments that are a tad jarring.

The rough draft of a part of "Psycho" titled "Sinfonietta for String Orchestra" by Bernard Herrmann is mostly quietly blissful.

A SUMMER STORY - Georges Delerue

We used this all the time on children and they were out before it ended!
There was only a few times we had to start it over again.
My sister-in-law asked for a copy after we got my nephew asleep on a visit.

Assuming it's a good idea to play music, I would make a mix CD of the most soothing cues from various scores.

A VIEW TO A KILL: Wine with Stacy
SOMEWHERE IN TIME: Main Title
SILENT RUNNING: Main Title, Tending to Huey
TITANIC: Rose
THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES: Homer Goes Upstairs
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (1978): Cassiopeia and Starbuck
BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (remake) Year 3: Admiral and Commander
THE SPY WHO LOVED ME: Anya
FOR YOUR EYES ONLY: Take Me Home
ROCKY III: Mickey
SUPERMAN THE MOVIE: Jonathan's Death
THE BEST OF STAR TREK: Suite from the Inner Light

This is gonna drive me crazy until I can get home to my albums...

If you can edit out the marches, Morricone's MARCO POLO might be perfect.

OPERA SAUVAGE by Vangelis

My boy's nighttime playlist was:

Vale Decem - Doctor Who Series 4: The Specials - Gold
Blade Runner Blues - Blade Runner - Vangelis
I Move On (Sintel's Song) - Sintel - Morgenstern
Gayne Ballet - Khatchaturian
Adagio for Strings - Barber
Venus, Bringer of Peace - The Planets - Holst
Fantasia on a Theme - Tallis
Nocturne - Billy Joel
Gabriel's Oboe - The Mission - Morricone
The Cloud - Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Goldsmith
Main Title - Aliens - Horner
Wild Theme - Local Hero - Knopfler
Boe - Doctor Who - Gold
Phillippe Describes Isabeau - Ladyhawke - Andrew Powel
Life and Death - Lost - Giacchino
Spock - Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan - Horner
Princess Leia's Theme - Star Wars - Williams

Worked fairly well.

My children have proven to me that even I can get sick of listening to Superman.

I made the following for my boy when he was a baby and when my daughter was born I played the same CD to her. Worked like a charm!

It's not that its boring, but it can be very relaxing. I know a lot of people that tend to relax of sleep with this soundtrack as background music.
