The TV show centers on the Shannons, an ordinary family from 2149 when the planet is dying who are transported back 85 million years to prehistoric Earth where they join Terra Nova, a colony of humans with a second chance to build a civilization. $19.99? $24.99? $29.99? Any mention of price yet? Since I have decided to hold off on the ST set, I will be interested in this set.

Don't recall the music.

Fair enough.

The show was bloody awful, and it's terribleness was signaled in the first episode, when they showed Obama money.

Oh, please... IGNORED.

Exactly. This topic is about Brian Tyler's beautiful, majestic music to big tv production. Not about Obama and politics.......

@Christopher, thank you so much for your work! smile

The series was laughable. The music was fairly decent, the theme started to annoy me towards the end of the last season of the show. But the release I'll surely buy.

Despite a few flaws I liked the show. Usually a TV series needs at least 2-3 seasons to gain ground.

Stargate Universe was just beginning to work when it got cancelled (second season). Star Trek TNG and Star Trek DS9 got interesting around third or fourth season (thankfully they didn't cancel those two). Another example - Enterprise. Seasons 3 and 4 were really good! Space Above and Beyond's turning point came at the end of the season when we learned Chigs lived on Earth before humans did. You can do a lot of things with that idea.

From TN's finale I can tell there was a lot of potential in this series. It simply didn't get the chance. Too bad...

Looking forward to this album.

You won't get a price until an official press release from La La Land, this was just mentioned in an interview with Tyler.

I don't recall the music being especially memorable in the show (which, as everyone points out was terrible) but those clips aren't bad, certainly some of the best Tyler I've heard in a while.

One thing I think we can all appreciate is how more and more of these big-budgeted television productions are getting orchestras, since McCreary and Giacchino forged the way. Revolution has one (Christopher Lennertz) and the upcoming Arrow has one too (music by Blake Neely).

I really enjoyed the Tara Nova series and was let down when I found out there would not be a second season. I don't really recall much of the music except the main title. I am a big Brian Tyler fan so I am glad to hear that La La Land is going to release it.

Those two clips sound pretty good. I'll see how the samples sound before I decide.

Didn't see the show and don't know the music. Of the vids "Cycle of Time" was okay, the sound seemed disconnected from the video but i really like "Magical Journey".

The show was indeed pretty bad, it richly deserved its cancellation.

The two clips on offer are better than most other Tyler material I've come across (like the execrable Expendables & Rambo such and such, or his half-hearted attempts at chamber textures or simplistic use of "exotic" instruments).

Ah yes, the Dino show. The clips sound good, will get this alongside expendables 2, keep 'em coming!

The cancellation of Stargate Universe really was untimely! And I think Enterprise was on a very good way during S3 and 4 but I think the last three episodes were unwatchable (Demons, Terra Prime, These Are the Voyages) IMHO. And I'm a lifelong Trekkie.
