Hands down "The Andromeda Strain." I delight in the two "Bronson" scores (particularly "The Forest Primeval,") but manalive, do I love every second of what he did with "Andromeda." The technique and musicality in it is really breathtaking - just tremendous work, inspired and inspiring.

THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN. "Favorite"? Not sure, it certainly isn't easy listening. 
But it is easily the most important of his scores, released or unreleased, followed by some really striking work for Columbo.

If it had ever been released you would all be citing Frankenstein: The True Story.
There is still time for us to do just that; I hear that Frankenstein: The True Story may just well be somewhere in someone's pipeline.

Of the so-far released Gil Mellé scores, I too am putting BORDERLINE at the top of the list. I certainly didn't expect it to be that good - the score was barely heard in the film itself, and it's from the beginning of the period when I started to lose interest in his scores... but BORDERLINE is terrific. I don't have to be "in the mood" to hear BORDERLINE - BORDERLINE does it for me!
I appreciate THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN very much. It's truly amazing... but despite its reputation, I get more real enjoyment out of his other scores which mix electronics and orchestra or small jazz ensemble.
THE ORGANIZATION was slightly disappointing as a release. The music is fantastic, but so little of it was available that the already short CD had to repeat some parts of the same track up to three times in order to make the 25-minute mark. I'm grateful for what we got, but it turned out almost like a cruel joke. If the full thing were ever released, it would knock BORDERLINE out of top place.
I like the two scores from the TV Omnibus set, my preference being for "The Forest Primeval." "The Circle of Time" has interesting parts, but I like it more in historical context than as a pure listening experience.
Of his unreleased scores, my favourites are FRANKENSTEIN: THE TRUE STORY (jp's comment is tantalizing to say the least), THE SENTINEL and STARSHIP INVASIONS. His COLUMBO scores are great, but really, if you have a look (on YouTube for example) at any number of sub-par TV Movies from the '70s, you'll hear some absolutely incredible work. I think Gil Mellé came from another planet. Forget Jerry Goldsmith's good work on poor movies - GOLD OF THE AMAZON WOMEN is like PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE treated musically as if it were CITIZEN KANE.
