Per Home Theatre Forum, the first releases of 2022 are:
Song of the Thin Man
Stage Fright
And that leaves all of the Thin Man films on Blu-ray, and more Hitchcock is always a good thing in my book.

It appears the Archive is finally going back to issuing press releases as press releases for the above releases have gone up on their Facebook page.

Yes, and they’ve certainly been cranking out those Technicolor restorations (Musketeers being the latest). I’ve yet to see the 48’ version of Three Musketeers, but I have to say it’s rather surprising that Gene Kelly didn’t do more swashbucklers with his athletic prowess being ideal for the genre (not to mention that he seemingly idolized Douglas Fairbanks).

Surprised "Stage Fright" wasn't released on HD already (aside from streaming). Someone mentioned this makes "Mr and Mrs Smith" (1941) the last American Hitchcock movie still unreleased on HD disc.
As it turns out, according to the below podcast with Mr. Feltenstein, Stage Fright was actually supposed to be released with the Hitchcock films released on Blu-Ray in 2016, but never happened because the fine-grain masters were in poor condition and some sort of “internal politics” prevented them from accessing the negative at the time.

As a side note, the podcast also reveals that the restored Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm will be released in the first half of the year as a 2-Disc set.

Looks like March announcements are starting to trickle in. Captains of the Clouds has just been announced on the Archive’s Facebook page. Will be keeping an eye out for anymore announcements tonight.

Per Home Theater Forum, WAC’s May release slate consists of The Carey Treatment and the Spencer Tracy version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (with the Fredric March version planned for release in October). The full quote:

In related news, as it is expected this is going to be discussed, Warner is planning the release of the 1931 version of Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde for Halloween. That version stars Frederic March, Miriam Hopkins, and Rose Hobart.

I’m hoping that for the Spencer Tracy Jekyll, they were able to find English audio for the footage found on a German television print, but not on the DVD.
