Per Home Theatre Forum, the first releases of 2022 are:

Song of the Thin Man
Stage Fright

And that leaves all of the Thin Man films on Blu-ray, and more Hitchcock is always a good thing in my book.

Surprised "Stage Fright" wasn't released on HD already (aside from streaming). Someone mentioned this makes "Mr and Mrs Smith" (1941) the last American Hitchcock movie still unreleased on HD disc.

Yup, two good releases. A pass from me, just as well as I've been buying a lot of Blu-rays lately, & I'm getting a bit short of space.

It appears the Archive is finally going back to issuing press releases as press releases for the above releases have gone up on their Facebook page.

February titles are starting to appear:

Gold Diggers of 1933
Edge of Darkness
The Three Musketeers (1948)

Will edit this post if any more turn up.

Yeah, just seen that. I've been waiting for Gold Diggers for ages, & I'll also have The Three Musketeers. It great that the swashbucklers are now getting a look in, maybe Scaramouche before too long. Warner Archive have been killing it lately smile

Yes, and they’ve certainly been cranking out those Technicolor restorations (Musketeers being the latest). I’ve yet to see the 48’ version of Three Musketeers, but I have to say it’s rather surprising that Gene Kelly didn’t do more swashbucklers with his athletic prowess being ideal for the genre (not to mention that he seemingly idolized Douglas Fairbanks).

As it turns out, according to the below podcast with Mr. Feltenstein, Stage Fright was actually supposed to be released with the Hitchcock films released on Blu-Ray in 2016, but never happened because the fine-grain masters were in poor condition and some sort of “internal politics” prevented them from accessing the negative at the time.

As a side note, the podcast also reveals that the restored Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm will be released in the first half of the year as a 2-Disc set.

Yup, & one of those discs will be a Smilebox version, which I'm looking forward to watching (I've never seen the film).

The Warner Archive Blu-rays are a bit expensive to buy in the UK these days. I pre-ordered Gold Diggers & Musketeers (from Wow), & it came to...£49.09! But I don't mind if it's a film I really want.

I love Dietrich in STAGE FRIGHT.

It's not 'cause I wouldn't
It's not 'cause I shouldn't
And you know that it's not 'cause I couldn't
It's simply because I'm the laziest gal in town

Thanks for the podcast link. Glad to hear they're including a bonus featurette instead of bare bones. While the ensemble and plot are entertaining, Alastair Sim's oddball character puts it over the top for me so I'm surprised he goes unmentioned.
Interesting they mentioned "Mr and Mrs Smith" would get released eventually (though not on my wishlist).

Looks like March announcements are starting to trickle in. Captains of the Clouds has just been announced on the Archive’s Facebook page. Will be keeping an eye out for anymore announcements tonight.

Following up on my earlier post, Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm has been officially announced, along with a new restoration of the 1937 A Star is Born from the original negatives.

A good spread of films, 30s, 40s & 60s. Only the CINERAMA Brothers Grimm for me, I've never seen it, but I want that Smilebox presentation.

Per Home Theater Forum, WAC’s May release slate consists of The Carey Treatment and the Spencer Tracy version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (with the Fredric March version planned for release in October). The full quote:

RELEASE NEWS

Have some exciting Warner Archive Collection release news to share with HTF readers this afternoon...

The next two titles to be released in MAY is as follows:

Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde (1941) starring Spencer Tracy, Lana Turner, Ingrid Bergman, and Frederic March

The Carey Treatment (1972) starring James Coburn, Jennifer O'Neill, Skye Aubrey, and Pat Hingle

Products should be available on Amazon for preorder over the next few days

In related news, as it is expected this is going to be discussed, Warner is planning the release of the 1931 version of Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde for Halloween. That version stars Frederic March, Miriam Hopkins, and Rose Hobart.

I’m hoping that for the Spencer Tracy Jekyll, they were able to find English audio for the footage found on a German television print, but not on the DVD.

I'll have Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, but I'm not bothered about The Carey Treatment, although I'm a big James Coburn fan, it's not a film I want to own, let alone import for around £23.

Only two releases again, but George Feltenstein of WAC did warn us that it would be a slow start this year, after all, I understand that George Feltenstein was sacked & the Archive was nearly stopped at one point (big changes at Warner), but he did say there was some great stuff coming down the line.

Per Home Theater Forum, June’s release batch is looking to be very Judy Garland-centric so far with The Clock, Ziegfeld Girl, and For Me and My Gal.

"Ziegfeld Girl", alone, will make my year!!!

Yes, I would have been Judy Garland's 100th birthday on June 7th. A pass from me, although Garland fans will be very pleased.
