Likewise I have lots. There's not enough hours in the day to see everything.

I can't think of any English language films where that's the case, but there's plenty of Italian films where I love the score & have never seen the film. Oh yes, edw Italian and french films must be 100s. For the bulk of my life, when you start collecting a composer you have very little chance of seeing any more than a few. In these later years a few more are accessible with youtube etc.

I have lots of film scores to films I have not seen and lots of ones to films I have seen. When I started collecting film scores on LP, it was because I was interested in the composer, so I bought soundtracks to films such as PLANET OF THE APES, THE SWARM, BOYS FROM BRAZIL etc without having seen the movies, though I watched them down the road. There are lots of 70s Morricone scores like MADDALENA that I enjoy where I've never seen the movie. More prominent examples of movies I have not seen (yet) but love the score are THE DAY OF THE LOCUST and LINCOLN.

Me too, when I started to take note of composers by name I'd buy their soundtracks before seeing the films. Williams, Horner, Goldsmith, Zimmer, etc. During the 80's and 90's I'd go see films in the theater based on who composed the films too.
