Since Intrada has so generously offered this two disc set at a one disc price no gets to bitch. (In case no one's said it yet, thank you, Intrada.)

I agknowledged the fact it wasn't an increase in price (most likely) on Intrada's forum. But that's kinda irrelevant. Honestly it's more of the general trend the last few years (especially, though it's been going on for quite a while) to include the album. I do realize much of the time it's contractual and there's nothing one can do about it, but in this case it's just a strange decision when there's literally nothing different outside of having less tracks.
It's funny because there's a number of recent releases I feel they did great on -- Balto and Iron Will for instance. Expanded fully, alternates when needed, extra stuff at the end, that sort of thing. I get some people like the 'album listen' but....I dunno, I fail to comprehend why doing it this way is actually a good thing (and I seriously don't understand the slavish devotion people have to the 'original album' much of the time, which was usually the way it was because of time and/or money reasons). Again, most people listen on their computers these days anyway (or even if not, are likely to have programmable CD players). Just add a suggested playlist in the notes and boom, instant 'album version'.
