I'm guessing two of the five will be the new editions of Stargate and Darkman that were mentioned earlier this year.

Yeah, it was in this thread:

"5 releases planned for Black Friday. I'm sure we will anger/disappoint most of you. Do NOT expect anything like last year's batch. That was lightening in a bottle.

MV"

I'm still recovering from that bolt of lightening!

I'm thinking three vinyls, and two cassettes. All straight reissues, nothing expanded.

There may be a hint in this interview with Bruce Botnick:

http://www.cinematicsound.net/interview-with-bruce-botnick-2/

...around 1:11:25 he drops two titles. He's not iron clad on the topical one, but maybe it's something.

I think one of those titles would likely be a Varese release and some people around here are going to lose their minds given how frequently it's been requested!

No volume control, won't let me skip to that part of the video (or any part; just jumps back to the beginning) ... somebody just say the two titles; that shit is annoying as fuck.

US Marshalls and the Swarm. He says he's just finished Marshalls and then says if you want to hear another great score to a bad movie, check out the Swarm. He doesn't explicitly say that he'd recently worked on Swarm.

Never really cared for "U.S. Marshalls", but I suspect there is enough material to make an edited suite or two out of to get some joy from.

Great to hear Varese are getting on with it and releasing U.S. Marshals. Look forward to it happening hopefully soon. We knew the Swarm was coming from LALA at some point but good to hear another mention for it.

Mr. Marshal:

Zzzzzzz....

And that's what a swarm sounds like.

Just hoping in the near future that any label releases/reissues Goldsmith's The Burbs expanded soundtrack. You'd think with this year marking the movie's 30th anniversary that a remastered expanded reissue would've been in the works.

But U.S. Marshals IS a great score for a bad movie...

MARSHALLS... Finally. My biggest Goldsmith grail left. Guess this hopefully means Varese has another batch before years end. Hopefully it doesn’t lie in wait for 6 months if not.

Sure, even Goldsmith on autopilot which US Marshalls is, is better than most. Nice to see though Varese is actually listening to people.
