Ennio rip is an island of poignancy in a sea of Bond Circus music not composed by John Barry.

I think we all can get carried away by our experiences in childhood with films… I mean, hey, there are people out there who love Pirates of the Caribbean growing up with those films. And that‘s great - as long as I do not have to watch them…

But in general, I've never been interested in this franchise or its scores.

Which would never have been the case, Thor*, if Your Favorite Composer in the Whole Universe had gotten his wish and done at least one of its scores, I'll wager..... smile

*(I really need to think of a nickname for you....)

How about...

Odinson

Norgegian Wood ("NW" for short, appropriately enough *ahem*)

C&C

Heia Tufte!

Maga Haga (red cap and all)

607. Nicolai P. Zwar, in a mood all his own in "Trying out NAS Music Server Software."

His post his far too long and "graphic" to post here, but I admire his obsessional nature, even if it's for something for which I give not one...care. At least he's passionate about something.

Thor doesn't require a nickname. He has calmly and rationally explained MANY times over the decades why he's not smitten with C&C releases, not that I agree with this viewpoint, but at least he doesn't resort to autistic screeching and behavior of those lacking a romantic other like most here do when someone "dares" disagree with them.

608. Hurdy Gurdy in the “ What Movie Did You Watch? Rate 1- 10!” thread pointing out when the best scene in the movie was the underwear scene.

"THE TURNING (2020) 2/10

This weeks version of The Turn Of The Screw is the limpest and worst yet.
Boring, dull, un-scary and worst of all, confusing and muddled, without an actual ending.
It's like the producers ran out of money, or even worse...ideas.
The stars it gets are for the little girl who plays Flora, who was really good/natural and the glimpse of Mackenzie Davis in underwear near the end.
Otherwise, it's absolutely terrible and a complete misfire.
AVOID as if it's Jeremy Clarkson."

609:

My reaction to Dibs' outing of the flamboyant LK-LooKaLiKe in his long-running "What you THINK we look like" thread:

Dibs: "...and, in the best view of his face, to the left of her here:"

https://youtu.be/rR7JZYq0KoQ?t=234

Me: "Haha! That's totally Lukas, all aflame with the spirit of the dance."

610. Thor, combining mild irritation and humor in the poorly conceived "Moonraker has been announced.so shut the forums?" (bold emphasis mine):

"As someone who has zero interest in anything James Bond, I just hope the Bond mayhem on these boards winds down eventually, when the novelty value of these releases has worn off. It's getting tricky to navigate on here, between it all. But it'll get back to normal (whatever that is) soon enough, I'm sure."

611. Prince Damian teaching a naive Dorian the facts of an FSMer's "life" in "The Original FSM 11":

Dorian: "In general, what's the deal with all the soundtrack collectors SUPPOSEDLY living with their parents anyway?"

Prince Damian:

1. It's s cheaper than having your own place.
2.They wouldn't survive on their own.
3. They aren't allowed on there own, no sharp objects etc.
4. After several attempts they are resigned.to the fact they are not liked by normal people.
5. They are the ugliest of the siblings and scare the neighbourhood cats.
7. It's the best place for them if youare having a house viewing.

Did I miss any?smile
