After the box-set vol 1 (white), vol 2 (green) and vol 3 (purple), according to you, what would be the color of vol 4 (if it will come out someday ...)? I think of the color: yellow.
So perhaps X-Files Vol. 4 will be LLLCD 1570? This doesn't necessarily mean that it'll be another year before they release it though.

I'm watching the whole series for the 50th time right now. I just finished the episode "Our Town" of season 2.
I hope with all my heart that there will be Mark Snow's music in volume 4: the track from 8:40 to 10:10 between the time when Mulder and Scully question Kearns' wife and when they arrive at the Chaco firm for a few questions from the Kearns case.
And the other track, from 37:40 to 39:55 when Mr. Chaco is going to be beheaded by the mysterious masked sheriff until Mulder arrives to save in extremis his faithful colleague, Dana Scully.

X-FILES VOL 4 CD collection is in the very final stages in production and will be released this year, hopefully by late summer. Due to the pandemic expanding manufacturing times and additional licensing issues, this new set will not be issued in a slipcase. It is coming though, we promise... and it's great!

While it is a shame about the slipcase, it's a perfectly understandable decision.
I'm just glad it's still coming. We've been spoilt by the amount of music from The X-Files we've had released. Shame the Fox/Disney thing happened and we couldn't have had a similar run of sets for Buffy/Angel. But then it's a shame the Fox/Disney thing happened for a host of other reasons as well.
Looking forward to it whenever it arrives and also finding out what episodes will be covered.. Will be a day 1 order for me.
I, for one, am thankful that LLL is telling us now about the slipcase. I'd have had a very twitchy eyebrow had I opened the order to find the item without one - thinking I'd been robbed of it!

But the real question is... will the conspiracy of the number 70 in the title catalog number still apply to Volume 4? Maybe someone would be able to clue me in, please, regarding the significance of the number 70 and X-Files...
I'd really love to get The X-Files: Volume 4 by the Fall. Would be great fun to listen to this during the Halloween spooky time of year with all the mystery, suspense and terror of the score. I mean I'd still buy it in the Winter or whenever it comes out but it would be a different atmosphere by then.
