I met him once. About 20 years ago i took a friend to a private eye consultant and we were in reception and Andre and his wife came in. Nice man. We chatted but it wasnt appropriate to say "Loved your work in the Pink panther strikes again!"
Awesome! I 'd love to have met him.
And I disagree. I always tell people I recognize (discretely, not being a Loud London Cabbie about it ), that I've seen their work, and I've always enjoyed it. Brief but complimentary, and they're always gracious.

Had i met him at a busstop i wouldve, Dib. But it was a quiet private waiting room for eye patients in harley street. People were sitting around with eye bandages and the lady i was escorting was very worried about going blind so it just wasnt right to start chatting about the pink panther and peter sellers! Maranne was there about his own eyes.
