Dunno if I participated in this already, but (in no particular order except for Sinbad, which is absolutely #1)... Sinbad the Sailor by Roy Webb -- IMO the best Sinbad score to the best Sinbad film; an absolute masterpiece. Technically a 5 minute suite was released on a Roy Webb compilation, but it barely scratches the surface of this rich and sweeping thematic orchestral adventure score. Support Your Local Sheriff! by Jeff Alexander -- absolutely delightful and memorable score for one of my favorite films ever (a hilarious western comedy); the main theme gets put through a ton of variations both dramatic and comedic. Technically this has been released as a Blu-ray isolated score track by Twilight Time, but I think it deserves an actual album release and think the audio can be improved. Night of the Hunter by Walter Schumann -- this masterpiece of a score (for a masterpiece of a film) has only been represented on a sort of storybook LP; it deserves a full music-only release sans spoken word. Storia di una Donna (Story of a Woman) by John Williams -- this lovely obscure score by the maestro is similar in a way to my favorite single score of his (Jane Eyre, which itself deserves an expanded release but tapes are lost). Intrada found tapes and pursued a release but for some strange reason Williams himself has vetoed it, for now. Black Patch by Jerry Goldsmith -- his very first feature film score, it also features some amazing music, including in my opinion one of the best main themes of his entire career. Yavar Here's your response from May 13, 2017: I'm gonna cheat. Jerry Goldsmith: 1. BLACK PATCH 2. FACE OF A FUGITIVE 3. CRAWLSPACE 4. BABE (unused score) 5. PURSUIT THE LONELY GUY would be a worthy inclusion but it had a couple cues released on LP so it's not exactly "unreleased" strictly speaking. Non-Goldsmith: 1. SINBAD THE SAILOR - Roy Webb 2. STORY OF A WOMAN - John Williams 3. THE RARE BREED - John Williams 4. FIRECREEK - Alfred Newman 5. A DOUBLE LIFE - Miklos Rozsa SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF by Jeff Alexander used to be on that list, but since it got a complete isolated score track on Twilight Time's Blu-ray I guess it also isn't strictly "unreleased" any longer. Yavar P.S. I don't want to bump any of the above scores off, but I also desperately want COLUMBO like many others here, plus Joel McNeely's SECRET OF THE WINGS...oh, and both the Mancini and Goodwin scores to FRENZY, which I know still exist thanks to the DVD special features!

Not necessarily the top 5 all the time (other than #1 and #2), but probably the top 5 I'm most interested in this week... 1. The Star Wars prequels 2. Indiana Jones 1-3 3. Dune 1984 4. The Scorpion King (John Debney) 5. Zathura (John Debney) - Very underrated score IMO.

I think at this point of time it would really be the five missing Bonds from TMWTGG onwards - and any material that is salvageable from the first three movies and those that have already been expanded in the past. The remaining Hitchcock scores would be another such project, but it seems as if all the pre-1960 material that is still extant has already been issued. That leaves us with an expanded "Torn Curtain" and "Frenzy", both of which would be nice, but not top priority.

Why are ppl mentioning soundtracks previously released? I don't think Shores Kong score exists. Isn't that just a myth? Slipstream came out I own it. I think the title could be easily misinterpreted as "top 5 most wanted expanded soundtracks". I myself didn't realize it just said "unreleased soundtracks" until just now.

May 15, 2017 - 1:11 AM By: Bill in Portland Maine (Member) Volunteers---James Horner The River---John Williams (badly in need of remastering and release on CD/digital...that MCA LP release was horrific.) Private Benjamin---Bill Conti Gandhi---Ravi Shankar and George Fenton (again, in need of CD/digital treatment) The proper End Credits from Rogue One. May 14, 2017 - 4:15 PM By: Freejack (Member) 1. AN INNOCENT MAN (1989) by Howard Shore 2. FREEJACK (1991) by Trevor Jones 3. FORCED VENGEANCE (1982) by William Goldstein (digital releases are releases. Suck it up, butttercup.) 4. GOD'S GUN "Diamante Lobo" (1976) by Santa Maria Romitelli 5. THE OCTAGON (1980) by Richard Halligan --- Runner ups: Moroder's OVER THE TOP (1986) Fiedel's FRIGHT NIGHT Part II (1988) Schifrin's TERROR AT LONDON BRIDGE (1985) May 15, 2017 - 3:02 AM By: Carburetor Float (Member) 1. Jason And The Argonauts / Bernard Herrmann (Film Score!!!!) 2. The Trouble With Harry / Bernard Herrmann (Film Score!!!!) 3. The Man Who Knew Too Much / Bernard Herrmann (Film Score!!!!) 4. The Valley Of Gwangi / Jerome Moross (Film Score!!!!) 5. To Kill A Mockingbird / Elmer Bernstein (Film Score!!!!) May 15, 2017 - 3:54 AM By: Richard-W (Member) COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT by Michel Colombier. THE INVADERS (1967-69 TV series) by Dominic Frontiere. PROBE | SEARCH by Dominic Frontiere. THE HAUNTING by Jerry Goldsmith -- the complete "nice tape for myself" referred to by ___ May 15, 2017 - 7:14 PM By: Halloween_Jack (Member) 1) Ghost Story - Philippe Sarde (OK technically it was released, but it's long been out of print). 2) The Haunting - Humphrey Searle. 3) Psycho - Bernard Herrmann. Plenty of re-recordings & bootlegs over the decades, but so far - remarkably for such a popular & important film - not the real deal. The tracks taken from the laserdisc sound reasonable. With today's audio restoration software I'm sure it could sound far better still, even if taken from the stems (look at Intrada's House of Usher, that came out pretty well). 4) At the Earth's Core - Mike Vickers. 5) Highlander - Michael Kamen. I can't finish.... sorry.
