Dude, read what Bruce wrote again. At 5 discs, the Kritzerland Fox box was no doubt the most daunting and time consuming project in Kritzerland history, and Bruce must've put a great deal of work into it. That it isn't out yet obviously has little to do with poor Golden Age sales or "catering to another group"; it obviously does have everything to do with Nick Redman's untimely passing. frown I'm sure if that box set never comes out, Bruce is 100x sadder about it than you are, so stop behaving like he doesn't care about Golden Age fans any more.

And this isn't a Kritzerland thread. You could have literally bumped any Kritzerland thread, like this one where he announced the Bernstein/North/Rosenthal three-fer:

How many times have I told that self -styled professor not to tell me what to post ? Too many ! You may be important to some other well behaved good "little boys" and yourself, but not to me.

Hello Bruce, Since there is no other thread to post this on, I will post it here. Are we any closer to seeing that Fox-box you touted 6 months ago before Mr. Redman passed on. I am getting tired of the Ben Bagley releases that you don 't even want to post a thread for and it seems that you are just killing time with these mystery clips. I would love to see Kritzerland return to its former greatness . Nothing I have posted here is meant to antagonize you. Just trying to find out what's going on. ????

Are record producers not allowed to engage in fun on their own free time? He has just as much right to post whatever he wants (on topic, in the rules, etc) as anyone else.

And here's a new one smile This was new to me and I was bowled over by it. I'll be making a much longer post about what this is but for now, have at it!

Well, that's a first. I got a notice from soundcloud that posting that was not allowed as I don't own the copyright. So what? 99% of what's posted on Sound Cloud is by people who don't own things. And of course we've all been merrily posting away anyway. So, stay tuned for my long post about what I was going to post and in the meantime here's an easy one - I'll bet someone gets this very quickly.

I thought this might be a fun little diversion for film music aficianados. If you think it's fun, try and guess the composer of the track I've posted. I think it may be a fun way to discover composers or just revisit ones you like.

Then post a mystery track of your own.

And go:

Very cool track, I listened several times

I'll try to get over my disappointment that I'm not important to you, as well as how hurt I am about being called a "little boy". big grin But it sure is telling that you consider being well behaved (i.e. reasonable, patient, and considerate?) a dig at me.

"Little boy" is a bit ironic because the person behaving immaturely here is you. And you're so oblivious to the fact that I'm actually doing you a favor by trying to suggest different behavior on your part, because if anything YOU ARE HURTING YOUR OWN CAUSE (which also happens to be mine). I've seen you get on Bruce's nerves so many times with your thoughtless, insensitive, and frankly selfish posts complaining in your best passive aggressive way that he isn't catering to your tastes, that I wouldn't be at all surprised if you were a factor in Bruce's reduction in Golden Age film music releases. Maybe that's giving you too much credit, but you certainly seem to lean more on the side of posting discouraging things than encouraging ones (except when there's the slightest hint/possibility of getting something you want).

Being a constant negative presence representing Golden Age fans to Bruce (who has had Golden Age releases be a higher percentage of his output than literally any other label since FSM closed) is certainly NOT helpful at the very least. I get that you are disappointed/frustrated about this tantalizing 5 disc Golden Age Fox set being delayed or even possibly not happening -- so am I! But *adults* learn to master their disappointment rather than putting out little passive aggressive comments suggesting that it isn't coming out because Bruce doesn't care about it or Golden Age fans, because he's found something more lucrative in show releases.

Professor Moradi, over and out. Now back to this fun thread!

I like that guess, it is better than my Bill Conti I think, it struck a chord with me as soon as I heard it and it definately has the ring on Donaggio to it in places. Not sure on the film, sounds like 90's

Not Conti or Donaggio. I will say the composer is very popular, but not so much at the time of this particular film, which, funnily, was my introduction to this composer's music.

Nope. You're all gonna kick yourselves when you find out who it is. Clew: Oscar-winner, VERY popular even now. And yes, this film is from the 90s.

How many "VERY popular" Oscar winners are there still working??

Williams, Zimmer, Menken, Silvestri, Morricone....Vangelis? I suppose could add Shore too.

Feels like James Newton Howard, but unsure which score.
Has that lonely Fugitive-ish vibe.

No Oscar for JNH. I figure it's got to be somebody like Rachel Portman that no one here listens to.
